Ordered this Corrosion Protection Pipe Tape for Drain Pipe, Metal & Electrical Piping Weatherproof PVC to continue wrapping mini split HVAC lines. The provided amount in the kits never goes all the way with me wrapping. This stuff is a little bit thinner than what comes in those kits and is sticky on one side, so it does have adhesive which makes it hard to remove but easier to keep in place. The black listed stuff you get at the local hardware stores is about twice as expensive but also significantly thicker. I would use this in a location where you have a secondary cover or just wrap it tighter to provide more layers. Overall

The PVC tape was difficult to get started because it is so thin it kept peeling and flaking off, the manufacturer should consider folding the end under itself to make starting the roll easier.This leads me to the main issue with this tape. It is thin and can be torn by hand. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, I don't think the tape would hold well unless you use several layers to make it much stronger. It almost shatters when a load is applied to it. Maybe this is how all PVC tape is as this is the first time using this type of tape. It has minimal stretch to it before giving way and tearing.The tape is waterproof and when applied liberally would be water tightIt seems to have a decent adhesive on the back that holds fairly well. I tested a piece and let it adhere for 24 hours and it was difficult to peel off.

Corrosion resident, flame retardant pvc pipe tape. It’s a 1.88 inch x 36 yard roll. It can be used indoor or outdoor and it’s got great adhesion. It’s easy to use. And cuts easily to size. It can be used on metal pipe, pvc, drainage pipes, valves pipes and it holds on great. It’s stronger than duct tape and price isn’t an issue. You get a lot for your money.

It’s not even kind of useable. It won’t even stick to itself. It’s like they forgot to apply the glue to this roll. Sending it back.

This is excellent tape that is perfect for a variety of uses around the home. It is weatherproof and features a strong adhesive. It works best when you cut the tape with a scissors rather than attempt to tear it. This is a quality product.

It adheres well only on metal surfaces. It is thin but provides fair protection.

This tape seems to hold well and I have it wrapped around a pipe in my basement that has a very slow leak. The drip is no longer visible, so I plane to keep monitoring this and see how it holds. I do like that it has a wider length, that has made wrapping my pipe easier.
