I've been searching for a board for almost a year now. Decades ago, I used to skate half pipes (no more of that!), and while I got my son a skateboard which I would jump on, it is just way too small and not so comfortable. Okay for tricks, but I don't trust myself anymore (haha!). I really wanted a board that was comfortable, a bit flexible, carved very well, was stable at moderate speed, and had a very good center of gravity. I pretty much scored.I've been riding this every day for at least an hour (unless it's raining). I will need new wheels at the end of summer, but I'm okay with that. I baby things that I have, and this board is no exception but I'm getting A LOT of usage out of this. When I do, I'll probably change the bearings as well, it's almost like switching over to synthetic oil in the car even though it's running perfectly fine.I'm 5'9" and 186. The size of the board is perfect for me and there is some slight flexibility to this that is quite sexy. Hahaha! Maybe even religious at the same time. It feels as through there are very subtle shocks cushioning the ride. The board was setup perfectly right out of the box, and I might slightly tighten things up but it's not super urgent or even needed, just experimental. Everything is put together really, really well on the board and all of the parts are extremely high end. The workmanship and beauty of the board are spot on. I ordered the MAXPRO Skateboard Bumper Protective Guards just to keep the board in overall great condition. It is just too beautiful to let it get messed up in any way (in my opinion) and is a real work of art to behold.The wheels as I've stated probably need to be replaced at the end of summer (at the rate that I'm going). They are soft, which allow for a much smoother ride (the softer the wheels, the smoother the ride, but also the shorter the life span). I'm okay with this, as at the moment they provide a pillowy soft carving sensation that is like using a hot butter knife to slice a marshmallow. The bearings allow for a good bit of coasting, no issues there whatsoever. I really cannot find a single thing about this board that I would change. I love this thing, it's my new best friend and even on 'walks' with my wife around the neighborhood this thing is by my side so that I can float every decline. Tasty.I couldn't be happier with this, and it's one of the best guilty pleasure buys that I've made in the last year. I even got contacted by the owner and his wife regarding what's in stock or getting replenished. I bought this when it was the last one, but that doesn't mean they won't have more in stock at some later point. If you are looking for an outstanding board for cruising and perfect in every way, you've found it.

I don’t typically write long reviews but this board was a great purchase. I’ve bought a couple of the cheaper boards in the past on Amazon for around $60-$70 dollars and they were OK to say the least. You get what you pay for. The bearings and wheels typically need to be replaced. The bushings usually squeak when you turn. A lot of the brand claim their boards are made out of Canadian Maple but it’s really Chinese Maple or Birch Wood, which are much cheaper quality. Grip tape comes off quickly. Which is why I decided to spent a little bit more money on a board this time around. This time I purchased a Black Longboard Samurai for a little bit more than I usually spend. It was definitely worth it. This board should cost around $250. I don’t understand how this company made such a high quality and kept the price down. Everything about this board is legit. Board- Beautifully crafted with rare dark Rosewood on the bottom and amazing pinstriping. You can tell they don’t cut any corners for quality sake. They use Canadian Maple for all the layers. Cool Black Longboard graphic on top. Griptape- Laser cut grip tape design to show off the wood on the top of the board. Not many boards come with this feature. Wheels- Not many boards have a custom wheel with custom cores to help performance. It even has Hooligan artwork engraved into the wheel. No upgrade needed. These roll super smooth and fast. Bearings- These Hellion 2 bearings are the nicest bearings I’ve ever had on a longboard. They are really fast and I haven’t had any issues yet. They remind me a lot of Bones bearings which I usually have to switch out with other boards I’ve purchased. No upgrade needed. I’ve never heard of Black Longboards so I was a little hesitant to make the purchase even though they have really good reviews. I did a little research. They have a legit website with some really cool stuff on there. I'm glad I made the purchase. Can’t wait to see what other models they come out with.

I really like this longboard, I got the Samurai since I liked the design, length, and width. I had a cheap longboard before this and learned the basics, but I like this one much better. The trucks are on very sturdy, the wheels are good quality, and the deck is gorgeous. Some things you should know, this longboard isn't necessarily the best if you want to learn how to slide and speed check, mostly because of the wheels. They're pretty soft wheels so they don't slide as well as others but they still work. They're nice and grippy for learning though so that's cool. The trucks are pretty good, and they're well mounted to the board. The only part of this board that I'd say is not great would be the bearings. They're not bad, but they could be better. You can pick up some Reds or Zealous bearings for like $15 though so that's not much of an issue. But yeah, this is definitely a great board to start out on, and the deck is high quality so you can just upgrade the trucks bearings and wheels as you get better. This is probably the best longboard you can get on Amazon that I've seen at least, the other ones I looked at kinda skimp on the parts quality compared to this one. So if you like the design go for it, it's definitely worth the money.

Bought mine longboard March 2021 and really love it. Build quality is great and a lot of fun to ride. Been riding Skateboards since I was a kid but new to longboards. I’m 58 so I get a lot of fun looks riding this beautiful board.

I really like the board but it’s smaller than I wanted. Assumed it was a hybrid between a skateboard and longboard, but it’s really just a skateboard with longboard size wheels. Does ride super smooth, turns nicely and is extremely maneuverable. It looks real nice and seems to be very high high quality.
