Really Pro look . 8oz. Sterno Butane canisters at Sam's
Finally , I get to sear Mahi and Scallops to smoking perfection without butter spatters and fire alarms yellowing and yellowing at me ... A super sleek burner to use over a sheet on the porch for haute with panache. A 10" pan limitation to avoid blowing up the 8oz. Sterno Butane Cartridges it likes with heat radiation ....

Great butane stove!
I've only used this stove a few times, and I like it a lot! This Iwatani stove is so much easier to use compared to my Coleman single burner stove. With this Iwatani stove, I simply open the lid, insert butane cannister, close the lid, press the dial to on position, and bam! Fire instantly comes on nice and hot! I can then lower the heat by turning the dial the other direction. When done cooking, I simply take the butane cannister and place the cap back on, then insert the cannister back into the compartment BACKWARDS for easy storage when not in use. I got this tip from other user comment (thanks by the way!).Contrast this with my Coleman single burner stove in terms of operation. With the Coleman stove, you need to first insert the pipe that screws into the stove (don't lose the pipe, by the way), then screw in the propane cannister into the pipe that screws into the stove, then need to get my long match/torch to light the darn stove while turning the dial to the on position. That's literally 4 separate items needed to make everything work (Stove, Pipe, Cannister, Match). The Iwatani stove is so much easier to use compared to my Coleman stove.I was able to boil a large kettle of water quickly and effortlessly. Because the Iwatani stove is well built, the unit didn't get too overly hot after using for only several minutes.A couple points further. As others have noted, the included plastic carry case is...well, cheap! The actual case is okay, but the 2 closing latches on top are poorly designed and constructed, and is a bit loose and wobbly when closed with the stove inside. When carrying the stove inside the carry case, you will need to make sure the latches don't come loose. Both of my Iwantani stoves have the same lousy carry case design.I also discovered that if you inadvertently open the carry case with the stove upside down, the top piece of the stove (the windbreaker part) will simply fall off, as it seems like there is nothing to hold it in place other than gravity when the stove is right side up.Lastly, DON'T buy the Iwatani brand of butane cannisters like I did. It's very expensive, and I doubt it's much better to justify the high cost. I ended up finding an Asian restaurant supply store nearby me that sold a 4 pack of butane cannisters for only $4.25, such a bargain! Better yet, they also had a small supply of this same Iwantani stove, so I bought a 2nd one directly from the same store! I now have 2 of these Iwatani stoves! I plan on using one to cook water, and the other one for cooking food or whatever.I don't know how these things will hold up over time, but I can say this stove looks well made and is worth the extra cost. I will be using this stove for camping. I highly recommend this product!

Very well made & easy to use.
This model has some great reviews. I use it indoors and it works great. Burner control makes it easy for fast heating & low simmer too.

Nice stovetop !
Nice looking and double the btu's of the cheaper stoves....I did add gorilla pads to the feet to stop it from sliding around because the feet are plastic..

Needs Dual Flame, Sturdier Case
I've had this for a few days, using it every day for stir fry, steaming rice in a pressure cooker, and boiling water to make tea. Prior to this, I used a Gas One 15K BTU stove for about 2 years for the same end. So this is coming from someone with quite a bit experience with portable stoves.Compared with the Gas One stove, the Iwatani unit clearly needs the dual flame setup. The dual flame refers to flames coming from both the inner and outer circles of the burner head. This is caused by ports/orifices built in both the inner and the outer circles of the burner head. Gas One has that setup, whereas Iwatani does not.Don't know if dual flame is patented technology. Otherwise, Iwatani could easily implement it in the next iteration of this stove. With wok cooking, the dual flame is almost a must, as the bottom of the wok needs to be SUPER hot. Some have even gone the extra step of buying a focusing ring to, duh, focus, the fire to the bottom of the wok. But one reviewer cautioned about this; he said that he experienced damage to the metal and plastic in the top part of the stove.Additionally, as many have pointed out, the case is too flimsy and shoddy. At $90, it should have come with a better/sturdier case. Some of the testing tools I use for my car come with very strong molded plastic cases. Maybe Iwatani could pick up a page from there? The pros of the Iwatani unit vis-a-vis the Gas One unit are very obvious: thicker metal and better build. The whole thing just looks more polished than Gas One.Another thing I should point out is that the wok actually sits LEVEL on the Iwatani stove, whereas on the Gas One unit, it has never been able to for the two years I've used it! I had thought that this was due to the uneven surface I had sit the stove! This is not the case with the Iwatani unit, however. Even on a slightly sloped surface, the wok still sits level on the stove. In short, this is a very good stove. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.If Iwatani could implement dual flame in the stove's next iteration and include a sturdier case, this would absolutely be the best stove in the market.

Very powerful portable burner
This burner is very well made and provides plenty of heat for your cooking needs. It starts reliably and heats way better than those BBQ side burners. Definitely worth buying.
