Dries hard as a rock
The kit is well equipped with 60 and 120grit sanding pads, a metal spoon/spatula and a pair of gloves. This is one of the first times I’ve used every single accessory item that comes with a kit like this. There is an A and a B part that need to be kneaded together really well to start the chemical reaction of hardening, don’t worry though, there is plenty of time to work the putty after mixing. I mixed it together like a taffy machine works, pull and fold, pull and fold, until it is a consistent color. Even after 15 minutes, the putty was still pliable enough to form.I had a rather large rotten spot in a door jamb on my garage. I took out all of the loose material and then wire brushed what I could reach. Although my pictures don’t show it, I screwed in some pine lumber to fill in a lot of the void. It still took almost half the container. I didn’t mix the entire amount at once, instead I first made enough to push up into the voids and smoosh it into the dry rotten areas. The second and third batches I made enough to start forming it to look like the wood trim. The putty is very thick, like clay, and not really easy to create a smooth surface. I dampened the straight part of the included spatula to smooth it out without sticking. It looked ok when I was finished applying but there were plenty of spots that needed sanding. 24 hours later I began the sanding process. It stuck well to all of the surrounding wood and concrete below, but sanding was not an easy matter. It’s like sanding a rock. I decided to apply plastic wood filler over the area that could not get smooth with sandpaper. The plastic wood filler stuck well to the epoxy filler, so all turned out good. You are going to need to have more than one set of gloves. After mixing the first batch, there was enough residue on the gloves that they were constantly sticking to the putty. I used a fresh pair of nitrile gloves for each batch I made. Interesting side note, the putty smells a little bit like peanut butter.

Epoxy Wood Putty
I have an over zealous Pup who chewed on the outdoor trim of the backdoor. The damage was quite a lot and the recent rain has made the problem even worse. I decided to give this putty mixture a try to fix it before the winter sets in. The kit comes with everything you need to fix the damaged wood. The instructions are easy to follow. It even comes with a handy tool to shape and form the mixture. I gave this 4 Stars because it does take a little time to learn the best way to apply and shape the epoxy. Overall it did fill the hole in the trim well and doesn't shrink as it dries. It is ready to paint in about a day. It dries without shrinking up and takes paint or stain equally well. This is a great fix for both indoor and outdoor jobs. I would recommend you do use good ventilation because it is a bit stinky.

useful option
I have worked a LOT with conventional epoxy for things like automobile body work and repairing rotted wood. This Boncart putty is very different from those materials and better for some purposes that for others. Most epoxy body fillers I have used have a small tube of hardener that you mix with a much larger quantity of filler, both components the consistency of toothpaste that are easy to mix and spread. You do, however have to apply it in thin coats on a backing of some sort. This Boncart putty is MUCH stiffer, to the point of giving my hands a workout as I kneaded the 50-50 mix. In fact, it was challenging even to get the putty out of the jar, although the included tool helped. This does mean that that one batch can easily fill a deep hole and it is strong enough that it does not need a backing. On the other hand, it is challenging to get the surface even approximately smooth without a lot of sanding and I am using body filler as a topcoat to fill small depressions and improve the finish. I will also second the comments of another reviewer that the similarity of color between the two components of the Boncart filler made it slightly harder to determine when they were fully mixed.I recently tried a similar product that comes in tubes that contain both components in concentric cylinders; you simply cut off a length and knead it to accomplish that same thing as this Boncart filler. That product was easier to measure out and, because one component was white and the other black, easier to see when they were mixed. The performance seems to be about the same but the Boncart is MUCH less expensive per unit volume, an important advantage since one tube of the other material only filled a single hole for me. In summary, this Boncart filler works as described. While it is not ideal in every situation, it certainly has its place in a workshop and is the best option in many cases.

Great Wood Filler Putty
This Wood Filler Putty works great! We used it to fill in a rotted hole in our shed door. Once filled, we just sanded it down (a bit difficult) and painted - you'd never know there was a hole. It dries hard within 24 hours and is very thick. Very happy with this product.

Great for larger jobs
21oz putty is a lot of putty. I prefer 2-part epoxy putties because they tend to form a stronger bond and last much longer. This one is no exception, although I obviously cannot testify to how long it lasts yet. I used it to fill up a part railing on the deck. Put a few coats of paint on top and it looks exactly like natural wood. 21oz means you have the freedom to handle large repair jobs also.

Very difficult to mix
Spoon was provided for mixing. But required significant hand and arm strength to mix. Equally as difficult to apply.
