I bought this after too many failed efforts to keep ice on a sprained ankle. The frozen peas approach probably worked best, but while the peas surrounded the ankle well, keeping them in place was tough and of course they thaw quickly. I happened upon this, and I am so glad I got it. It's not perfect, but it works better than anything else I tried, and probably better than the other products available. It is very adjustable, but when your ankle is swollen into irregular lumps and is, naturally, very painful, getting this on can be a challenge. Also, it's too cold to use directly on the foot so you need a sock, but if the sock is too thick then the cold doesn't penetrate well. So, be sure you have a thin sock on before putting this on; you don't want to go through that twice. But once on and properly adjusted, the ice back stays cold far longer than you're supposed to leave it on (l left it on much longer than the 15 or so minutes the directions call for), and it is quite flexible from the outset--not as flexible as the peas, but better than the peas overall. It can also be heated for heat therapy, though I haven't tried that as a regular heating pad worked well enough for when I needed to switch to heat. I also have plantar fasciitis issues, so may well be using this long after the ankle heals, and I'm sure it will be easier to get on and adjusted at that stage. All in all, this has been a big help in dealing with a painful situation.

After tearing a ligament in my ankle the doctor recommended a wrap that could provide both heat and then cold for therapy. This ice pack wrap was perfect - it can be frozen but also heated. I highly recommend it.

I reviewed the seller's size guide before purchasing; I met it. Unfortunately the brace is difficult to adjust and has an awkward fit, making it uncomfortable and ineffectual on my average height/weight female body. The construction of it seemed very good visually. However, I can not rate its use as I returned it.

Current situation...Bad Bursitis flare up due to repetitive motion (from driving). Good times!! 😖 I swear it's always something with this broken body of mine 🙄 I'm so over being in pain all the time...This brace has been an absolute god send. It has a removable gel pack inside that wraps the whole shoulder. It can be put in the freezer OR the microwave for cold or hot therapy, which is really nice. It's not uncomfortable, either, since it's fully adjustable. I couldn't be happier to finally get some pain relief thanks to this brace!!

This is great to hold I’ve right where it’s needed. Ice packs usually slide off or around. This stays place nicely.
