I have so many of those cast iron enamel coated pans and they are heavy, especially when they are 5 quart or larger. Then when they are full, they are really heavy. I wasn't sure about the grey when I ordered it but it is very nice. The enamel inside is so white/cream I hope I can keep it looking this nice. This is the only pan this size that I have that can go into the oven with the lid on to 500 degrees. That is a real plus so this is the pan I will reach for to make pot roast or a whole chicken for sure. One thing I have learned about these pans is to use low to medium heat. That will keep the inside nonstick and won't discolor the inside. I learned that from experience. I would recommend this pan, but read the directions and follow their suggestions to keep the pan looking good and nonstick.

This is the lightest dutch oven I've ever picked up. It's even lighter than some of my normal pots and pans.The inside is a nonstick ceramic and is very easy to clean. Since it's so lightweight, I was a little iffy about whether or not it would actually work well as a dutch oven, but it seems to work just as well as any other dutch oven I've used.It says it's dishwasher safe, but I just handwash it to ensure it lasts as long as possible. The ceramic nonstick and the lightweight nature makes it easy to wash, so it's no big deal.I like it a lot!

I have a Dutch oven and love it, but it is so heavy. This one is a lighter weight so perfect for someone that can't lift a heavy pan. It's easy to clean and store. Perfect for pot roasts, soups, and so much more.
