Visual Guide to Grammar and Punctuation

I like how straightforward the concept presentation is and the concrete examples. In addition it is colorful and pleasant to look at. Great book to use alongside a grammar curriculum.

This book makes learning about language easy and fun with great examples of concepts and usage, engaging pictures and a logical sequence of presentation. My child is 3.5 so it is early for her to understand how this subject even fits into her life but she can still enjoy the illustrations and learn a few concepts. Third graders will benefit greatly from this book as will any person who is beginning to write or simply understand the English language. Excellent teaching tool.

This book is great. It is so bright and kid friendly inside that my kids actually want to look at it! We are studying foreign languages as a homeschool family and I need my kids to understand more advanced English grammar rules so that we can discuss differences in other languages. I think this will fit the bill perfectly. I am a grammar nerd and my husband is a linguist and we only have small complaints about what's missing, like command form in the verb conjugation section. That's saying a lot, most grammar resources are so incomplete, but this one is comprehensive and accurate. To do that while still being simple, friendly, and sometimes funny is so impressive. I highly recommend this for homeschool families, especially for the elementary grades, although I wouldn't feel uncomfortable using it as a supplement up through high school.

This book is excellent to help set a basic foundation in grammar. However, it could be improved by having more information in many areas such as Singular and Plural and adding additional information overall to make it more thorough! Nonetheless is good book!

An excellent resource for homeschooling-we use this as a reference tool during the editing process of my kiddos' writing.

As expected, this DK book is fantastic! When I need a reference book I always start my search with DK books. They do an amazing job at taking any subject and breaking it down into easy to understand pieces. All the pictures make it even better for visual learners. I'm homeschooling my third grader and thought this would be the perfect book to provide a jumping off point as well as something my kiddo can reference by himself. I love that it comes in hardcover since we will be using it for years to come.

This book is wonderful. It can be used for 5 year olds all the way through college. Punctuations are important when writing anything from elementary to college. Grammar starts the moment you start school and only ends when you no longer need to write anything lol. I highly recommend this book for ALL ages.
