Not sure about this purple thing, but the family raves.
This seems like a pretty high quality shampoo. I used it myself and found that the purple was interesting, but I'm out of the loop with the purple stuff. I noticed that some family members used other "purple" name brand shampoos, so I wanted to try this. I mean, it's nice and all, but I'm not sure what kind of magic I'm supposed to be seeing. Although my family likes it, I think I personally prefer more botanical shampoos with fragrances the evoke locations. So although this is isn't my favorite shampoo, my family likes it, and I can appreciate its apparent high quality.

VERY purple
This purple shampoo works great on my blonde hair to balance out the yellow tone. Be aware that it will stain skin or shower surfaces if left on, so wear gloves or rinse off of your hands quickly.I leave it on extra long and only use it once a week or every other week. It works great and I'd order it again!

Good
This purple shampoo lathers up well and smells pleasant. I have 3x bleached 2x dyed hair. While this doesn't drastically take the brassiness out of my hair, I do notice subtle differences. My hair is not aggressively brassy/yellow, more of a gentle tone.

Hair looks great, hands do not. But La Puissance is cruelty-free!
My blonde hair definitely benefits from some purple tones to soften the brassiness that inevitably creeps in without them. I have used a number of purple shampoos in the past. This shampoo from La Puissance is absolutely among the best of those. It is easy to use, smells pleasant, and lathers very nicely. It also rinses cleanly from my hair. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for my hands. This stuff stains them, and that purple stain lasts for a while--at least several hand washings. I sometimes have to use a small brush to scrub out the color. This could be avoided, I'm sure, if I wore gloves to shampoo, or maybe even tried using a scalp massaging shampoo brush, but it hasn't bothered me enough to go to that much effort. Besides, purple's my favorite color! :)I think this shampoo is effective and makes my color look better. And it's a quality shampoo, too, free from parabens and produced with no animal testing! It's 100% cruelty-free, and is even certified by PETA! Reasonably priced for a purple shampoo, too, so I will certainly continue to use it, and I recommend it to anybody else looking for a good cruelty-free purple shampoo. Five stars...even with purple hands!

its ok
my friend that has gotten a bleach on her hair tried this and the color still started to fade. the consistency was runny so it wasnt as helpful.

Hands were purple, but it did well on the hair
Works well with a few caveats. Definitely helped to tone my wife's hair and remove some brassiness. Price point seems reasonable. I would recommend wearing gloves when applying as it stained hands purple when lathering and applying to hair. Definitely dries hair out a bit so you will want to make sure that you condition well after use. I would also recommend starting with a shorter time then recommended to see how you hair takes it given it stains hands.

Good quality, cruelty-free toning shampoo for blondes
After our child used my wife's expensive Olaplex purple shampoo as finger painting fodder in the shower, I felt bad and wanted to get her a new bottle, preferably less expensive. She was pleased with this, it appears to work just as well as a more expensive brand and her hair looks great!
