I originally bought the high pile carpet plastic floor runner. That was a mistake. It way to thick to lay on carpeted stairs so I just used it on flat surfaces like the hallway. I bought this low pile plastic floor runner instead. I bought 3 rolls and cut them up to fit the stairs. They fit so much better and don’t slide while your walking on them. They do move around after repeated stepping on the stairs throughout the day. I don’t feel them moving while I’m walking up or down stairs though. When they do start to move out of place, I just use my hands to put them back into place and they stay there about a day or two. I have found If you wear socks they won’t move as much. If you have wet or sticky feet it will cause them to move more.My cats were using the stairs as a cat scratcher. We just had new carpet installed and we were trying to figure out what we could use that would stay in place and would be easy to clean. I bought a sticky like carpet protector and the cats just moved it out of the way. With this plastic they can’t move it and it actually covers the entire stair step since I cut the pieces to the correct lengths. No one damage carpet and easier t clean stairs! Perfect.

This is what we needed for theContractor coming and going in and out of our house to have our master bathroom remodeled. Very durable.

I needd this so my animals wouldn't put so much dirt on my carpet. It doesn't quite stick into the carpet but doesn't move when walkedd upon. I am happy with this runner so far.

its functional so I assume it will serve its purpose by protecting my carpet, we'll see. does not lay completely flat as it resembles a slightly bumpy road. It does stay in place tough as far as I can tell. As many others have said its very thin. Emits a strong chemical vinyl smell which is annoying and that is my top complaint about it. I hope that dies down over time.

Runner is clear in color, not blue tinted like other products and it stays in place. Exactly what I was looking for.

My 15yo toy poodle is blind and has doggy dementia. My Coco spins in circles and forgets where she is. Not sure if this runner will work as a routine for a path for her to walk along as she comes in from the backyard to her areas of the house, but we are in the process of training and trying. The runner has plastic points on the bottom that sticks into the carpet which makes the carpet stay in place. And the runner is helpful to me as I sometimes have to walk in the backyard’s grass to get Coco and bring her inside; the plastic is there for me to leave those wet, dirty, or muddy shoes at the door and on the plastic runner.

This is a very thin version of the thicker plastic runners I'm used to, this was purchased for my boyfriends dad to get around the house easier in a wheelchair which he now has to use, but it was so thin it raised up around the edges of his wheelchair and only made it more difficult to roll over, i think this could only really be effectively used on extremely low pile carpet or non-carpeted floors. Sadly not at all what we needed.

I moved into a rental that is was supposedly renovated completely so I figured the 98.6 of carpeted floor space wouldn’t matter. Not so. My dog family grew from 2 to 4, two males who got into a pissing match that I can’t seem to stop. Neuter? Nope I’m a breeder with two studs :) so this has been a game changer. I’m slowly turning into the old lady with plastic covering the entire house, even the furniture. Plus my 10 year old granddaughter eats on a table in my bedroom so I’m saving up for that. .I think these are good.
