It's just a basic transfer pump, and has done a good job pumping fuel from a barrel for my husband's tractor, and operated with very minimal leakage.

I really like this kit. It comes with everything needed to start pumping. My previous pump did not come with a hose so I had to buy everything and make it up. This pump starts without priming and pumps strong. I pay attention to not let it continuously run to long as that is what burn most pumps up. I recommend it.

As my review headline says, yes, I got this for the guys in my shop to have as a transfer pump and it sure does come in handy. Can power it right from the vehicle and no, we're not (only) siphoning out fuel from tanks where a built-in pump has gone bad, but also just transferring diesel or other "care-needed" type of fuels from one tank to another, or just emptying some fuel oil out of the bottom of some old tank on a job site to make it safe for the guys to cut into pieces and cart out in a renovation job. It's handy and does everything it promises in the listing, and more. Sure, it makes some noise, but all pumps do, and it's the most handy thing I've seen in a while. We get a ton of use out of it.

I have been waiting to build a small gas station for myself here on my property but that has yet to take place and this is the next best thing.
