Perfect replacement to OEM
Only came with one bolt, which you would need two in order to replace all with what it comes with. I just reused what I already had since I just needed the main part.

Fit and works as original
Good quality matches original equipment great value for the money. Installation is tedious but can be done with a lot of patience. Is not the part it is just the way the manufacturer of the tractor made it fit. But you will save good chunk of money by doing it yourself.

Not easy to install, but it does fit my John Deere LA145
My John Deer LA145 lawn tractor stopped steering at the end of my last mow. The steering wheel started by slipping in one direction, and eventually, it stopped steering at all. I was barely able to get it into the garage. I removed the deck and attached a come-along to the ceiling of the garage, looped through the front-end of the tractor and hosted the front end up in the air. Removing the old gear was a bit of a pain, because the nuts for the two bolts holding it on were only accessible via a tight space above the metal plate that holds the gear. I’m not skilled mechanic, but I managed to get everything apart and back together again, it it appears to be steering fine. You can see in the first photo, I’ve put the new gear up against the old, worn-out one, and they are identical in size. The second photo shows the new one in place. In sum, while I am not a skilled mechanic, I am patient and I was able to replace these gears in a reasonable amount of time, and they seem to be a good fit for my tractor.

Works but lacks OEM robustness
The parts fit my JD LA115. The kit was complete. No instructions but YouTube has several pretty good how-tos. The original pivot bolt uses 15mm hex-head wrenches to remove the capscrew and nut. The new one in the kit needs a 14mm wrench. Really? Also, the steering shaft bushings had sloppy fit-ups. At least the kit had both of them. I will have to add a shim washer or two under the pivot bolt head because the sector gear rocks more than I like. I hope the sintered metal pinion gear holds up. The previous owner ran the tractor with 6 psi in the front tires, instead of 14. He must have had stronger arms than me.

It fits but quality control might be questionable
Listen everything fit fine but I immediately noticed that the gear which is what I really needed looks like it was cut with a torch and then the torch was left on one side of the gear for an extended period of time as there was a scorch mark on the one side. I'm hoping it'll still last awhile but I don't know. I'm just hoping it didn't soften the metal there given the gear is typically a softer metal to begin with.
