The aluminum and vinyl do not appear to be bonded very strongly together. They can be pulled apart easily. I only noticed this because the layers were separated at the cut edge.

I am really impressed with the quality of this ducting. I ordered it for an unusual application and I wasn't sure it was going to work out but this duct exceeded my expectations. I have an old home that just isn't wired for modern day use so I thought I might be able to use this duct to cool down rooms that I can't run air conditioning in by attaching the duct to a portable unit on another circuit. This has worked out really well for that and the loss of cool air in rooms several feet from the air conditioner is much less than I expected. The duct does feel cool all along it, so there is loss through the walls of the ducting but I am satisfied with the amount of cooling it delivers from the other end. For my purposes, the insulation factor is a non-issue as it is desirable to have the air temp dissipate along the way. This is much better quality than the aluminum ducting sold at the big box stores to be run on central HVAC systems in tight or difficult spaces. I thought the length might be difficult to work with but it holds its shape pretty well and doesn't become a huge slinky when compressed down. I am very happy with this and happy to recommend it.

This flex duct is great. Using it for a grow tent and attached to a 6" ventilation fan and carbon filter. Comes with the proper band clamps and coated black on the outside. The inside layer is mylar and has a wire coil running the length for strength and support. Good value for this price point and will continue to use this duct for the foreseeable future. Fits tight but wasn't so bad I couldn't get it attached to the fan or filter. The flex really gives me so many mounting options like mounting the filter outside of the tent or hanging from the roof. Highly recommend for it's value, quality and utility. Did not need to buy anything separate for this flex to work in my system.

This flexible aluminum ducting is very well made. It's a quality material and easy to work with. The price point for what you get is a great option for flexible duct.

I sued this to replace some ductwork that was getting a little old. It's quite flexible and easy to get where you want it. But, unlike the solid side ducts, it is going to need more support if it's under the floor and hanging. There didn't seem to be any problem with leaks.
