Used for my weather radio. Provides a much clearer received signal.

This item is junk.
I rarely want to write a negative review, but this time I want to warn buyers about how horrible this product is. It reminds me of the toys that McDonalds puts in the Happy Meal, but worse. I hooked it up to my HAM radio, and it did nothingI live in an attic room and hung it out on a pole on the roof and it did nothing. I hooked it up to my handheld scanner and took it outside also nothing. It was a $98 mistake. It feels like a cheap toy you buy at a dollar store. It is very light and has a fragile feel to it. Do not buy this piece of junk.

Works fine
This antenna claims to receive between 2.3MHz and 900MHz, and transmit between 90 and 450MHz, depending on how much of the antenna is extended on each side. The center frequencies and SWR are helpfully provided in SWR graphs for each of the 6 lengths, each length delineated by an antenna section fully pulled out:Fully extended: 97.5MHz 1:15 sections extended: 110MHz 1.4:14 sections extended: 128MHz 1.1:13 sections extended: 158MHz 1.2:12 sections extended:198MHz 1.1:11 section extended: 270MHz 1.4:1Fully retracted: 385MHz 2:1It claims to support up to 25W short term, but 5W average/long term in transmission. As shown, it wouldn't really be good for TX up to 450MHz as the SWR is worse than 3:1 that high, but it would be usable from 97MHz through 350MHz. You'll want to tune the antenna by hand with an antenna analyzer or SWR meter and a lot of trips back and forth (The antenna analyzer would be easier and faster).Of course it'll receive outside that range, and it's better than a lot of quarter wave whips. It's reasonably compact so might make a good traveling scanner antenna. It includes the antenna itself, which is preassembled and sealed, as well as a BNC male to female cable, BNC to SMA adaptors, and a plastic pole with a mount to hold it onto the pole.

This Will Get Interesting
I'll just admit that I have no clue about any of this stuff. Since this will be a steadily growing hobby as I get pieces I really have no clue about the function. However the build quality seems fine. I assume this is as basic as it get since it arrived in just a small plain brown box. Very generic feel but seems like a good product. Feels solid. Smaller than I thought. Should do the trick though. I'll update this review if it does not go well.

👎 Cheaply made and poor performance.
It's deaf on all but the powerhouse 50KW local AM stations. Those stations are so powerful you could use a shoelace for an antenna.

Wouldn’t trust this company
They don’t have the VHF and UHF frequency ranges correct so they nothing about building an antenna.
