I love it !! I have very dry skin and this seems to work well and it's odorless, but I do love how well it moisturizes without feeling greasy. Also, it lasts a long time, because a little goes a long way and it's an excellent day cream!! PRANA will be my forever cream with natural ashwagandha infused.

My Prana Ashwagandha Day Moisturizer arrived sealed in a nicely designed box that shows the country of manufacture as India and gives an expiration date of 9/2025. Information about the product, a list of ingredients, and directions for use are also shown. Inside the box was the glass jar of the cream itself, which also lists directions for use but not the other information shown on the box. Upon opening my jar, I was surprised to notice a strong scent. Since the product has no added fragrance, this is the scent emitted by the ingredients themselves. I did what I usually do when trying a new facial product, which is to apply some to the inside of my arm to see if I get any allergic reaction. While doing this, I wondered how I would feel about what seemed like a strong scent resting on my face and underneath my nose when the time came to apply it to my face. As the day wore on, I found myself sniffing my arm repeatedly to inhale the wonderful, earthy fragrance. It seemed to last for a long time, and I was obviously enjoying it. I felt it might be nice to sniff that without having to raise my arm, placing it underneath my nose. When morning came, I saw no adverse reactions of any kind on my arm and decided it was time to apply the cream to my face.I applied my new moisturizer to my freshly cleansed face after using a toner and serum. The instructions only call for using a toner, but I always use a serum prior to applying my moisturizer. As a result, the cream seemed moister than it might have without the serum, but that was fine with me. I am elderly and have dry skin, so any help holding moisture is very much appreciated by me. The cream is delightfully smooth going on, and it is not sticky or heavy. It does leave a nice, smooth feeling to my skin, and the excess moisture caused by the addition of the serum seemed to fade into a comfortably moist feeling. In other words, it was perfect. The fragrance, which I anticipated enjoying, was actually not noticeable to me. It is an unscented product with the fragrance of its ingredients, but it was not at all apparent once applied to my face. I have no explanation for this, but that is what happened. I think that is a good thing. That way, there are no distractions from the wonderful feeling that is left by the moisturizer on my face and neck. Only a small amount of cream is needed to achieve this result, which assures me my supply will last quite a while and, thanks to the long amount of time it will remain effective, I will not feel rushed in using my jar of cream.I am happy to recommend Prana Ashwagandha Day Moisturizer for the above reasons and look forward to making it a part of my daily routine. It is also, due to its attractive packaging, suitable for gifting.

Overall, this is a decent moisturizer however, it is advertised as fragrance free. It may not have an added fragrance but it definitely has a scent which I do not particularly like. I also feel like it has a stickiness to it. It’s okay but not my favorite. I would like it a lot better if it didn’t have that odd smell.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Prana Ashwagandha day moisturizer. I view scent as the most primal of our senses- if you think about it from an anthropological perspective, scent is what alerted humans to danger (fire), and it also triggers for us memories connected with that scent. I can't put my finger specifically on this scent (some described it as earthy, but I don't think that is quite right), but it was immediately comforting and familiar. It somehow reminded me of my most carefree days as a child, visiting my grandparents in England, and being wrapped in their love. The thing I love most about this scent is that it does not come from a chemical scent ingredient, but from all of the natural ingredients in the jar. On that note, let's delve into what this moisturizer is and isn't. This is not some hyped up anti aging moisturizer than promises to deliver firmer, tighter skin with fewer wrinkles. This is what I would consider to be a "basic" moisturizer, however, it is far from basic. I own a multitude of facial creams and moisturizers that all promise to deliver various things, but while they promise the moon and stars, none of them quickly erase the marks left on my face from my CPAP mask in the morning. That is, until I tried this Ashwagandha moisturizer. It has a thinner cream-gel like texture, and I can only describe it as "wet" feeling when you apply it. I LOVE this sort of texture, as my skin is chronically dehydrated and really needs a good drink of moisture. This moisturizer provides me with the long, wet, deep drink of moisture my skin craves and needs! It quickly soaks in, but dries ever so slightly tacky to the touch for a while. This doesn't bother me at all, as I'm not touching my face (and you shouldn't, either!). It's light enough to feel good on the skin, but moisturizing enough to feel a surge of moisture. And it smells divine! All in all, this is one heck of a good moisturizer, and honestly the first one I have tried that has plumped out the indentations left on my face in the morning from my CPAP mask. I'm honestly in love with the scent of this, and want to apply it all over so I can smell it! I'd love to try a hand cream version of this moisturizer, and I'm going to look at this brand to see what else they have!
