I have an East facing wall. Every morning from Sunrise till pretty close to noon, the Sun bakes a wall and heats up a room. From the pictures, taken after warming up for a few hours, the outside wall is 20 degrees F lower than the 8x8 Shade. The shade is mounted about 18 inches from the wall.I measured the difference multiple times, over multiple days, and found between a 12-25F difference depending on humidity, wind, temp, etc.. Inside, I'm coming home to 75-78F instead of 83+F. My 30 gallon fish tank is a good 2F cooler than before.Installation was really simple, only needed a Phillips Screwdriver and possibly a drill. It's easier with two people, but I did it myself with painters tape. With two ladders, it took me about 30 minutes to setup.I highly recommend this for a wall shade. I'm almost tempted to add solid fabric to further block more light, but then I think the winds would bang this against the wall.

WE installed two of these shades that were 7 ft. on our west side pergola because the heat was getting unbearable. It has helped so much and added a touch of luxury to our pergola. We wish we would have purchased years ago as it was not expensive and has made such a difference.Takes a little time to put together but highly recommend!

Lightweight and came with all parts. I ordered the gray color and when exposed to sun it sparkles like a disco ball which is not the look I was going for. Instructions were not easy to follow. Overall I would not recommend.

Ordered three of these, two of the three were missing the rod to raise and lower the shade. The product itself is fine for the price. Takes a bit of assembly time, but as expected. The problem is with Amazon. News to me, but since this is shipped by Amazon in my area, I do not even have the option of contacting the manufacturer. Amazon does not deal with missing parts, my only option was to return or replace. Replace is obviously not an option, I would wait 4 more days and parts would still be missing. In the past when I have had missing parts on items like these (made overseas/needs assembly) a quick chat with the manufacturer and the missing parts were on the way. Guess I'm heading to the hardware store to rig up a solution. Bad form Amazon.

This was just what I needed to block the afternoon and evening sun. An added benefit will be blocking a lot of rain. We get a lot of wind, so I am hoping it holds up to the westerly wind. Installation was easy. It would help to know drill bit sizes needed.
