Works great
Grandson likes this in his bedroom and the different displays. He wasn't crazy about him sitting on the rover and would have liked him standing better. Works great and was a great buy.

This thing is awesome!
Short version: This thing is even awesome for adults! Brighter and better projection quality than expected. Needs a USB jack for power. Be careful of positioning so the laser does not hit your child’s eyes.Long version: I have seen the option to review this little guy…or variations of him….for a year and a half now. I was never interested, as I assumed this was just for kids. Until I heard that many adults love these things too. So I had to try one. And now I see why they’re becoming so popular.I was truly surprised at the initial brightness of both the nebulas and the stars in my office with the blinds drawn. (see photo with the little guy down in the corner. That’s an actual projection I took with my cell phone. Yes, my office walls are very dark). I later found out when trying the remote control that the brightness was on the default middle setting, and I could make it even brighter. My initial assumption that this would be dim was unfounded, but I’m glad there is the option to turn it up or down because you’ll want to adjust it to the dimness of the room. The helmet is tethered to the body with a cable, but remains in position with magnets so you can rotate his head to wherever you want to center the projection. Personally, I would be cautious regarding the laser-based star projection, and place this on a shelf above a child’s reach, so the projection can be made on the ceiling without the child being able to look directly into it.I think this would make an awesome gift for a kid, and would easily recommend this. But don’t be surprised if the parents buy another for themselves!

Such fun!
I got this Astronaut Starry Night Projector to entertain my young teenage grandchildren when I see them this summer but so far it’s been entertaining me! The product description on the Amazon seller page (my item is ASIN B0CJ2PNX8B) gives so much information that I won’t duplicate in my review, but I’ll say that this light show is truly startling the first few times. The more times I watched and at different angles in the room to encompass different structures, the more interesting it became. The colors are vibrant and the swirls are mesmerizing. The star functions are cool, but I do wish they would do more than they seem to do, though I could be missing something. There are just a few permanently ‘falling stars’ pre-set, and they don’t actually move. One other issue is that it is fairly top heavy for such a small base into which the boots fit. The unit only works when the USB cord is actually plugged in to provide active power. It’s not a charge and disconnect function.I had concerns about the safety of a laser toy so I looked into the subject. This item is described as a Class I laser (see pics), and the seller has written some suggestions to supervise children using it. I found further information at reputable websites, such as at FDA.gov and the American Academy of Opthamology. So, under my supervision or that of their parents, I will be happy to have my grandkids enjoy this fascinating galaxy projector. And I’m loving it!

"Creating Cosmic Dreams: A Granddad's Review of the Astronaut Galaxy Star Projector Night Light"
As a granddad looking to keep my grandkids entertained and content in their bedroom, purchasing the Astronaut Galaxy Star Projector Night Light was one of the best decisions I've made. Not only do my grandkids adore LED lights for decorating, but this projector has truly elevated their room into a space-themed wonderland. From the moment I introduced it, I instantly became the "best granddad ever" in their eyes. They were captivated by the remote control feature, which allows them to easily adjust the settings to their liking. The ability to switch between different projections, from a spaceman to a starry nebula, keeps them engaged and excited every night. What's truly remarkable is how this projector has improved their sleep. The calming effect of the soft, twinkling lights creates a serene atmosphere, helping them drift off into dreamland more easily. It's been a game-changer for bedtime routines, and as a granddad, there's nothing more rewarding than knowing I've contributed to their comfort and happiness.Overall, the Astronaut Galaxy Star Projector Night Light has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's not just a decorative piece; it's a source of joy, wonder, and peaceful sleep for my beloved grandkids. If you're looking to create a magical space for your little ones, I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Way cool
I was really surprised when my husband got this for himself. But I fell in love with how cute it is. The head actually is held in place with magnets so it can be pointed at most any angle you like (to get the light show you want). The arms articulate too. So this little guy can appear friendly, curious, determined, etc. The light show is spectacular, although it's a generic nebula. On our vaulted ceiling it really spreads out and gives the whole room a "spacey" feeling. As a night light is soothing. The ad covers all the features very well. But I want to say being able to adjust the brightness, speed, and even turn off the stars means you can get the effect you like and vary it with your mood. The quality is great, not lightweight or flimsy. If there's a con to this, it's that you must be careful not to look directly into the lights. But that's just common sense.

Awesome!
This little guy is so so cool. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. The head is a magnetic swivel that allows you to point the lights where you want. One light, mounted to the side, is the source of the green laser dots.I would recommend putting this up a little higher just so you don't stare right into the laser source. I had it on my nightstand pointed directly up at the ceiling, yet from certain angles the light was still hitting my eyes occasionally. I really love the colors and different modes it has. This definitely exceeded my expectations. I think this is great for people of all ages. Highly recommend.
