Q: Does this container have that weird oily smell? Looking to replace my current egg holder due to the strong chemical oily odor.

I didn’t notice an odor but after ordering it I realized it isn’t as sturdy as the egg cartons I get my cage free eggs in so I never used it.

Q: How are the eggs refrigerated or cooled? Won't they go bad?

Hi, thanks for your interest in our product! This is just a holder/container for eggs....generally used when camping or at an event away from home. This item does not refrigerate or cool the eggs in any way. Usually it is used inside an ice chest to keep eggs cool. Hope this helps. Thanks

Q: Are these the same thing as an egg unbreaker?

Not sure if same thing, but it does not hold large eggs..

Q: Are these dishwasher safe?

I bought several to give to my kids, so I do not know for sure; but I would think it would be OK. They are light weight and it would be only questionable (to me) during the drying cycle, when the heat might be intense enough to warp the plastic. I hate hand washing and with the with all those different compartments, I'd sure think it worth the risk of trying.
