Great for hot rooms that need a little help!
My office has two computers in it and gets a lot of late morning sun that heats it up (as you can see by the glare in the pictures). I've been trying to avoid just turning down the temp to the whole house, and the rest of the rooms are fine except this one, so I've been hunting for a solution, as regular fans weren't cutting it (and we're super noisy). This little cooler though - great! I was worried that it wouldn't be strong enough or that it would be leaky/dangerous with the water, but it's been amazing on all accounts!I've been using it for over 2 weeks, and sitting at my desk has been so much better. I put just enough water in it to cover the bottom of the tank, then top it off with ice cubes about half way, and it lasts a good 3-4 hours cooling. The timer function is something I didn't know I wanted, but use all the time, and the best part - it's really quiet! You can see I placed it on a towel when I first started using it anticipating leakage, but there hasn't been. It's got a really small foot print too, is easy to move around, and a blind monkey could work the controls. Oh! It's got a little aiming arm on it too, like car vents do, so that you can get more direct cooling. Honestly that alone sets this fan above other "swamp cooler" type sets ups I've tried. instead of just blasting the air in my general direction, I can have it on a lower setting and just aimed at my neck area, an it cools just as well.Literally the only negative is that while it does have USB cable that comes with it, it doesn't have the wall box. I bought one at Walgreens for $1.99 though, so is that's the only issue I have with it, I'll take it!

Save your money, would not recommend
I've had this for about a month and have had a lot of problems with it. It leaks, the speed on high is a low on every other fan, and the light doesn't work when there's water in it. The light blinks on and off because the water drips on the light, which is a safety hazard. I wouldn't recommend this product to cool anything down.

This is a awesome little cooling fan
The media could not be loaded. I have heard about these small portable air conditioners that run on a USB-C port and thought they would be great for the upcoming camping season. This was very enticing to me, so I started searching Amazon for my options. I decided to try this one out. The setup was quick and easy. I tested two different power adapters: one from Amazon, which was a 9-watt, and the other from an iPad. It ran equally well with either one. I found the noise level to be minimal and acceptable for a fan. Now, let’s talk cooling since that is the main idea. Let me preface this with the weather being cold and snowy the last couple of days, so this little unit was fighting the forced air heating that was running during most of my testing, but even with all that going on, it did well. It quickly dropped the output to 66-67 degrees. While I didn’t purchase this for the lighting effect, I found them friendly and particularly liked the green. This unit is more of a small swamp cooler than an air conditioner, but I think it could be a bit of a game-changer for cooling things down on some of the upcoming days.

Weak and Ice does nothing
This thing is to be used in tiny rooms only, like a dorm room. I've put ice in with the water to amplify the cooling effects and I can hardly notice an improvement. You might as well get a regular, stonger fan for half the price. Avoid this junk!

Not good for hot car in the desert
After reading the reviews about this working well in Small places, I thought it would be perfect for my car since the a/c stopped working. It didn’t help or make a difference. The port to hold the power cord is really tight and it broke off the tip of the cord as I was unplugging it. I had a spare cord around, and that one broke, too. Now I have no more spare cords. I returned this product.

Great little misting fan! No leaks!
This is a cool little misting fan. You fill the top with water and is sprays mist into the fan. If you add ice it could cool. Maybe in the winter you could add hot water to add humidity. The water container is sealed well and does not leak. You might seem some water droplets on the fan blades that drips down but is contained by a lip that evaporates faster than it accumulates. I only wish the water container was bigger because it seems to run out frequently. The handle is a nice touch to make it feel luxury. It is a fan and not quite so not going to use in the bedroom but perfect for the office mid day when the sun is heating up the room.

Not worth the money
I wish it was a good product. It's better to invest your money in a vornado fan. This is a product shortcoming not the sellers' fault. This fan does not charge. Therefore it has to be kept plugged in to work. The strength of the fan and cooling is mediocre. It's just not worth the money.
