Absolutely best value USB-C multi-in-1 hub on Amazon currently
review of ICZI USB-C HUB with SD card: I needed something that has fast read and write to SD card (tested it does hit UHS-I speed both read and write, perfect for pulling GoPro videos off SD card, way faster than connecting GoPro directly to laptop) As well as USB-C (full speed) passthrough as well as power delivery and multiple USB 3.0 (keyboard, mouse, storage etc) and external monitor on HDMI. Making it the perfect docking station for my Razer BladeThe only difficulty I had was that because of the number of ports it adds and it is NOT a powered hub, attaching a (NON externally powered) USB 3.0 HDD will draw a lot of power to spin up the drive initially, so the hub electronics "resets itself". Once the HDD is up and spinning though everything works perfectly. This is not actually an issue you even notice unless you happen to be transferring large amounts of data to another hub connected device while you attach the USB HDD.Solution = Attach HDD BEFORE or AFTER transfer to SD CARD or other USB device NEVER during transfer.I contacted the seller they were amazing. Eva in customer service did everything possible to help me out and deal with my issue. Top Notch customer service and product, highly recommended.

Unreliable - but with good customer service
I bought this product to be a docking station to connect to a monitor and a hard drive while at work. Sadly, the monitor only connects sometimes and other times the hard drive becomes disconnected on its own after a while. It also becomes really hot while plugged in, which makes everything worse. I guess you get what you pay for, but I still wouldn't recommend anyone getting this.UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller and was given the opportunity to leave more feedback, and have been extremely attentive, which is really appreciated. I also have a couple of updates for anyone who's interested. First of all, I found that when you plug the dock on its own, and then plug the cdmi cable, the chances of getting the malfunction described above are reduced. It is still not great, as I would expect the dock to work automatically, even if it had things already plugged into it, but I felt like the 1 star review was not fair. If you get this, it is a usable dock, and the customer service assured me my product was probably faulty.

This hub acts like a docking station
** Update **Customer service sent me a new one. So far so good. Back to 5 stars.**Update**3 months later this hub is now dead from the July heat the usb ports disconnects and reconnects. As i am within the warranty period, i've emailed the seller. I will keep the 1 star here until the issue is resolved.**original review**This is a review for the USB C to HDMI HUB. I have a macbook pro 2017 13" with no touch bar.It has only 2 thunderbolt 3 ports one of which is used for the charger. Once I have a secondary monitor plugged in, i'm out of ports. This hub acts like a docking station. I can fit all the plugs: power, HDMI display, and USB.External SSD Flash drive delivers at usb 3 level speed. Displays at 4k on my 4k Monitor.Overall it works as expected. I wished the HDMI slot was at the back with the usb c port to because the thick HDMI cable pushes the hub in a awkward position.

When it works - it works well however it constantly loses the HDMI connection
I use this hub with both a new macbook and laptop with Windows and Linux (ubuntu) installed. When freshly loading up it works a treat but if any of operating system goes to into sleep mode it, without fail, it will not intialise the HDMI connection on wake. This results in constant fiddling with what seems a random order of taking out and putting back in the HDMI cable, power cable or USB connections. Most of the time this fixes it however with the Mac it often requires a restart which is beyond frustrating. If the HDMI cable is connected with a simply usb-c to hdmi dongle then this issue never occurs.Looking through the other feedback this seems a common issue and thus in inherent flaw, either with design or manufacturing quality. Either way I suggest looking at alternatives until such time that it can give consistent throughput to its connections being its primary purpose as a hub.

Exactly what I wanted!! Buy it
I bought another product that was not right before I bought this one!I wanted to connect a usb-c port on a surface laptop via a dock which had an hdmi cable coming out of it into my external monitor. I also wanted to use a usb3 mouse and keyboard. This product is exactly what I needed. The dock itself has a usb-c cable coming out of it which plugged nicely into my laptop. To extend monitors then go to Display Settings, detect monitors and then extend the display. This will make my life much easier now. Thank you

The HDMI works beautifully
The HDMI works beautifully, USB’s are fine, Micro SD was a bit temperamental but did pick up eventually after few attempts. Transfer rate wasn’t the quickest but I didn’t have another card readily available to compare objectively in case was that card playing up so would be unfair to say that is the fault of this reader. The cable is stiff and bent so doesn’t lay flat easily but can’t really complain. The power pass through does work although given my MacBook Pro 2016 model has 4 usb c ports, I’m not sure when I would need this. However, I’m aware lower macs may have less available. Whilst bit plasticky and light, it seems relatively well built and should hopefully serve needs for foreseeable future. All in, quite reasonable performer and have no reason to give this anything but 5 stars.

Awful. Intermittent and micro USB stopped working after 4 weeks I would of returned if Amazon would allow.
