Way to go with bins

Lovely looking kitchen bin, lid opens automatically which is useful, arrived quickly thank you

This bin was purchased in good faith, and was working well for 13 months, the top then stopped working, it was still making a whirring noise but the top was not able to open as before, I purchased some new batteries thinking this was the problem but to no avail. On close inspection it looked like the mechanism had detached from the lid.I was very disappointed when I approached the seller to explain what had happened to be told that the product had a twelve month warranty ,at which state was offered a new top for the bin, and would I like a quote for it.If this is the case then every thirteen months I would have to replace the top making an already expensive bin excessively costlyI hope that a satisfactory conclusion will come of this.

I THOUGHT HAVING A BIN THAT OPEN'S WITHOUT TOUCHING IT, THE ONLY THING WITH THAT IS EVEN IF YOU GO SLIGHTLY NEAR IT, IT OPEN'S DROVE MY HUSBAND MAD, ALSO I BROUGHT IT TO GO UNDER THE WORKTOP, BUT DIDN'T MEASURE IT, WHEN THE LID OPENED IT BANGED THE WORKTOP. HAD A BLONDE DAY WHEN ORDERING THIS BIN. SO, DON'T FORGET TO MEASURE THE BIN PLUS THE OPENING LID, THE BIN IS NOW RESIDING IN THE UTILITY.

It works well. It can be very annoying if near a regular passageway.The main problem appears when it gets more than 3/4 full or has a lot of vegetable peelings in it when it gets extremely difficult to lift the bag out.
