I've been taking this for over 2 years. It's an easy to swallow capsule that seems to work well.

I’ve been taking this collagen for almost two weeks now. The cracking in my knees hasn’t gone away yet, but I’m really hoping it will help.

Collagen type 2 is what our joints are made out of, thus it consists of the amino acids and other ingredients needed for to rebuild and/repair our joints. I recommend taking with MSM and Vitamin C to help trigger collagen synthesis and you have the perfect trio. There are many types of collagen (i.e. jello is made up of mostly types 1 & 3) and collagen type 2 should be taken by itself because additional types of collagen will compete against each other. I’m disabled after 4 failed spinal fusions. I constantly have to use my arms to lift myself up, decompress my spine, and to stabilize myself from the waist up, much like a paraplegic. Because of this constant pressure, wear and tear on my shoulders I now have a tear in my right labrum, which is made up of cartilage (collagen type 2). I can’t have shoulder surgery or I won’t even be able to even get out of bed. In addition to my physical therapy I have spent literally hundreds of hours online researching (mostly PubMed) how to repair labrum tears, without surgery. My research has concluded that growth hormone inter muscular sight injections as being the most effective means of repairing joint damage. However, if you’re like myself who’s not a multi-millionaire and are unable to afford going to a Hormone Replacement Clinic. Then Collagen type 2 + msm + Vitamin C is theoretically your next best option, in combination with physical therapy. It has greatly reduced my shoulder pain and increased my range of motion, but I won’t know to what extent until I go for my next MRI. I hope my long review is helpful.

Each capsule is 500 MG not 1000 mg as stated on the outside of the Collagen bottle. I havent tried the product yet but found the bottle is rather deceiving.
