I really wish this is what it should and could be. This is a great example of a good idea with very weak execution. The component quality is fine, but the manufacturer just cuts too many corners. The concept is perfect for someone wanting that industrial or rustic look. However, the manufacturer comes up short in a few ways, and I suspect that they were just cutting cost. It would have better to do it right and charge a few dollars more for an ideal piece. Here are the issues: 1) They should have used 3/4" pipe instead of the 1/2". The long pipe that holds the paper towel roll is way too small and rattles around with too much space. A 3/4" pipe and cap would still clear the paper towel cardboard center roll I think (but not confirmed!) 2) There are no felt pads for the 4 pipe feet. This unit will absolutely mar wooden surfaces and can easily chip or scratch stone or tile. It is easy enough to buy 4 felt pads, but they should have been included. I have NEVER seen a paper towel holder without an anti-scratch bottom of some sort. 3) They tell you to use your own 'pipe thread locker' (toothpaste consistency material to 'glue' metal pipe threads in place) for any loose joints. Of course, by design, there will be some loose ones because to line up 4 threaded 90 degree angle connectors means that some will l be extremely tight to make it to proper position, and a few or more will need to be a little loose just to align the four feet to minimize wobble. Not everyone has this 'thread locker' lying around, and for pennies they could have included a small plastic tube for one use during assembly. 4) It would have been nice to see the base a bit wider so that it would allow today's larger paper towel rolls to sit firmly on the metal 'base.' 4 longer threaded metal 'nipples' would have accomplished this for almost no additional cost, but as it stands, your paper towel roll will likely hang to the side and partially unravel. 5) Not everyone will have the necessary pipe wrench for proper assembly with a rag to prevent marring of the surface. That said, most tool boxes will have something that will work or you can loosely assemble with thread locker and then stick a screw driver in the bottom holes to 'lever' them into place. Overall, the concept is pretty cool, and the existing parts and finish are good quality, but the execution is weak and disappointing. Frankly, you could probably go to a hardware store and buy the right parts and some excellent paint in any color you choose for $25 or so, and then you would have a proper piece and something built by your own hands.

I was so tired of having paper towel holders that would end up broken or tilted. I had to assemble it which wasnt a big deal. Love the rustic look just what i wanted. The only down fall is that it wobbles only SLIGHTLY which is why i gave it a 4, all the legs are straight but it's not enough that I would return or hate it. I can't stress how slightly the wobble is. Overall very happy.

This product is exactly as advertised, which in today’s age, is something to be appreciated. Easy to assemble, sturdy af, just what the bathroom doctor ordered.

The first paper towel holder we ordered, no matter what we did, had a hobble to it which was annoying so we sent it back. Before even sending off the other one, they had sent us a new one. The replacement has a leg that looks a little tweaked sideways but it was the only way it wouldn't wobble (which wasn't even an option with the first). It's barely noticeable and another option could have been to just put a furniture pad piece under it. Point being, it still looks great and they were awesome to send a new one so quickly so I probably would but again.

Got this for a dear friend of mine to go with her new house decor. She loved it!

Nice, but it doesn't sit level on the counter and it needs some pads on the feet so it won't scratch my Onyx countertops.
