Excellent! Easy to learn, Unique and Super Fun!
Do you like building with Lego? Do you wish your Classic Space Sets could blow the ever loving crap out of each other with lasers, plasma, chain guns and missiles? Do you wish that your best friend was across the table controlling the opposing ships and you could beat him so badly that he fell into the fetal position, sucking his thumb and crying for his mamma? If your answer is "yes" well HAVE I GOT THE GAME FOR YOU!So... You build your ship... However you want it to look. X wing style? Tie Fighter? Enterprise? Orville? Gunstar style? Viper? Super heavy missle cruiser? Go for it.Then comes the fun part. Outfit it with weaponry that not only looks so bad arse on the model, but has FUNCTIONAL PARTS CARDS that allow you to utilize them in battle! Need to quickly turn the tide after your wingman had systems hit and shut down? Buy him some time by launching ship to ship torpedoes and let the enemy suck on that for a turn while he brings everything back on line. Have a flurry of missiles hot on your tail? Use point defenses to take out as many as you can and then dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge your way into the astroid field to eliminate the rest. The kicker is... Every maneuver, weapon system, shield etc requires 2 things. Energy and heat. And you can only vent a limited number of each on the beginning of each turn. So... That chaingun tore into your enemy that last turn, but you can't vent enough heat to use it this turn... Uh oh... Better plan ahead! This is the very unique system that makes Snap Ships Tactics shine! It seems simple, straightforward and even elementary... And it is the first two. Learn it in literal minutes, but you are going to find that mastering effective builds will take a lifetime of tinkering, building, star fighting, exploding into a gaseous wad of fire and twisted steel while your control panel crashes through your weak, human skull. But man, the getting there is such a fun adventure! There is a super well developed AI for solo or Co-Op play that is SUPER challenging. These bad mother truckers just hunt you relentlessly across the star map. Just. Hunt. You. RELENTLESSLY. I Have a hard time avoiding dumb mistakes that get my primary armament systems disabled on criticals and having to spend turn after turn relaying my power to repairs to get myself back in the fight against the AI.As far as who it's for? Anyone who loves designing and building THEIR IDEA for what could be successful. I am 50 and love it. My 7 year old Grandson concepts it all and loves it. My 28 year old son constantly gets owned by said grandson and loves it.I can't wait to see what's added next, they have many more ship models that are to be classified for the game and there is a rousing excitement around them putting the power mech toys into the Tactics game system. Imagine a ship like the SDF-F1 with deployable mechs for intense ground battles against ground forces and vehicles! The potential scope is AMAZING and solidifies the game team to be supportive of the game for the long haul! What more do you need? What more could you want? Put it in your cart ... Checkout... Get it on the way! You won't be sorry (unless your 7 year old kid builds better, more tactical ships than you and sends you careening into a nearby dwarf star... Just ask my son)!

Wing Commander: The Board Game
Ive been a fan of this toyline since stumbling on it in 2020. Great creative idea for children and adults. I never followed the story but these are great designs reminding me of the Wing Commander PC Game series from the 90s. The fwoosh factor is there as well as durability in the completed models. With the prices the individual sets go for these days, you can develop a considerable sized armada and save $ doing so.You can invest beyond what the box gives you such as your own play mat. But a table will be fine. Due to the size of the minatures i recommend at least a 3'x3' table space, especially when dealing with more units in the fray.Overall highly recommended and i hope the game does well for more expansions such as capitol ship battles, but im sure the fans will think of something if not.A great set. This is a wonderful toyline and game.

Your Snap Ships fanatic needs this game!
Bought this for the Snap Ships fanatics at my house, but all the kids are enjoying it. The rules are intimidating at first, but it only took a practice game or two for everyone (upper elementary through high school) to get the hang of it. For the price, I would have expected the game to come with a 3’x3’ mat to play on, but we’re making do with a large piece of cardboard cut down to size. If you have creative kids, consider this a bonus; it’ll keep them busy for a little while. ;) For those reading this review before January 26, 2024, you still have time to order a deluxe playmat from the Snap Ships Tactics online store—if $55 is in your budget. We’re not affiliated with Snap Ships; we’re just pleased to find a building system other than LEGO that has captured our boys’ imagination.

Great fun game
This is a game I've been looking for forever... I used to build ships out of Legos and make my own rules to have a game already close to this when I was younger but now a game actually exists and its so enjoyable already made my first custom ship... the Missle Assault Craft- Redundant Ordanace #55 or MAC-RO55 for short. We need more pilots in this game.

Incredible Game
Very easy to pick up, learning curve is half hour tops. This has quickly become one of my absolutely favorite tabletop games. It's extremely well balanced (just make sure you and youre opponent are using chassis of the same level), mechanics are very fun and addicting. Highly customizable builds without feeling it overemcumbers the game. strongly recommend getting at least core set to try out!

Build your spaceship then dogfight with it!
Accessible spaceship skirmish game that you can play solo, coop, 1v1, and teams, with the deep customization and great gameplay makes this a no brainer. The toy factor is amazing. Building the ships is just as fun as playing the game!
