workhorse
this machine is a workhorse. have over 50hrs on it now. excavated and moved more than 50yds of rocky soil, thumb is capable for grabbing larger rocks, as well as spread over 20yds of material with blade. have thrown right side track a few times. oil plug access good, easy to change. did change out the needle zercs. at this point, well on its way to paying for itself. no so fast.update late sep 2024: at 67 hrs. started running for 30 seconds or so then shutting off. still troubleshooting. customer support is not helpful. there is no service manual. seems like a safety shutoff of some sort.

Good product overall.
This excavator just arrived two weeks ago and I am happy with the purchase. I did allot of research prior to purchasing off of Amazon and decided to pay a little more for the peace of mind and protection of ordering through Amazon rather than Ebay or somewhere else. Great communication by the delivery company and the unit arrived just as I hoped. It has a bit of Diesel in it when delivered so they drive it right off of the tractor trailer, you will not need a fork lift to unload. What I did not consider was that this is a bargain product. It is very powerful, that is for sure and maneuvers well. The welds though are ugly and were done by an amateur no doubt there. The panels around where your legs touch get very hot after an hour of use and I will have to retrofit something there. The Diesel cap is located right next to the hydraulic oil cap and they are the exact same silver caps. I have employees who will use this machine and immediately recognized that one of them would end up putting the wrong fluid in the wrong well if I did not mark the caps with color, I did this immediately. The biggest item that i did not consider is that this unit has a generic key and the security on it is severely lacking. Although the cost is a third of what a John Deere would be it is still 17k and will easily be stolen if left on a job site. Bobcat, Kubota, and Deere all come with a good amount of anti theft devises which I neglected to value into this purchase. I am very happy with my buy and am recommending this, just consider that I would not recommend leaving this machine on a job overnight or stored outside. It would be very easy to steel this machine.
