Works great - super easy to program

Easy to program. I set it up so my 98 year old MIL couldn't mess up her TV. Now she's happy with her 1 channel (her choice), volume, and on/off. No more calls saying the TV isn't working BECAUSE SHE PRESSED THE WRONG BUTTON ON HER OTHER REMOTE! Worth it weight in gold!

Fussy to program, and the Channel Up and Down buttons don’t seem to use a “Debounce” electronic circuit, so one press jumps two channels instead of one as the press echos in the circuit. Basic button application electronics oversight. Poor design. Maybe I’ll gut it for some components to use in my own projects. As it came to me, it’s not at all fit for its intended use, which was to control my TV with. Volume control, and mute work. Channel “Up & “Down” buttons skip channels two at a time. As is, the most expensive AAA batteries I’ve ever purchased.

The product is fine. The setup was easy but slightly tedious. The one big problem with it every button copied and worked fine except for the Power Button. The power button works fine on the factory remote but would not program on the Big Button TV remote, no matter how many times we tried. It is unfortunate. I needed this for an elderly MIL with dementia who gets overwhelmed with all the buttons on the remote. So having one remote to turn the unit on/off and another to control it is just not an option.

It was a bit challenging to set upBut it did program itself from the other remote.

I bought this remote to use instead of the large, heavy cumbersome remote that came with my audio component. I just wanted to have something cheap and small that would control volume, source, muting and display dimming. This unit is perfect for the task. It is light weight, buttons are large, it is silver so it is easy to locate in the room. The training process is a breeze to accomplish and it learned the desired commands from the original remote. Another reason I picked this remote is because the keys are not lighted (really not necessary). This should prolong battery replacement. I use rechargeable cells.

I had a cheapie remote that came with my electric fireplace/heater. Sometimes I had to press a button 5 to 10 times before it worked.I got this remote and programmed it using the heater remote and relabeled the buttons and the remote works every time. For an inexpensive remote, it works great.

It is a great idea if it only worked. I get the volume and power to work but the channel changer will only stay programmed for a short time. I program it and the next day it won’t work.The button size, color, volume control are all great. But the channel changer not so great.
