Great for grouting tiles ! Floor and wall.
Great quality for the price. This gun made my life 10 times easier. I used it today for a very first time to grout floor tiles. I removed the handle from the bottom so I could slide it directly on the floor with the smallest 12v Milwaukee drill attached. The only modification I had to do was attaching to a provided nozzle a 3/4” short piece of pex pipe with elbow pointing directly the floor. I also covered the end of the elbow with a piece of rubber hose to slide it firmly pressed over the tile joints. Amazing tool ! Fast and extremely clean grouting process. This thing was injecting the grout into the joints beautifully. I was able to fully control the process with the speed of the drill and peace of sliding the gun over the joint gaps. I assume the wall tiles are going to be even easier. Highly recommend this gun. I am not professional tile installer but if I was I could not imagine using anything else. The grout I mixed was quite thin and liquid but not too thin. I let it sit for about 10 minutes after injection and then was able to finish it with the sponge. I really am impressed with the tool ,and nobody is paying me for the review.

Good idea, but
This thing doesn’t work at all. I made a thin mix and it would not push grout out. It needs pressure to work which it does not have. Total waste of money. Just learn the old school way which you still have to do anyway if it did work.

Works great!!!
I purchased a couple of these to do a German schmear on the brick of my house and it worked extremely well. I did our fireplace and sunroom as a test before we do the exterior of our house and it drastically sped up the time that it would take doing it by hand. My only complaint would be that unless you mix the mortar very thin, which I don’t recommend, it kind of has problems sliding down the hopper at times. However, a simple bump on the handle a couple times knocks the mud down into the bottom. Would definitely buy again.

Didn’t work for me
I was using a fairly runny premixed grout, but this thing did not work even a little. It didn’t push anything out it just churned it up. It is even less likely to push out material if you have to point it upwards at all (and work against gravity).

Good product but difficult usage
It works if your grout without stone inside, stone will stuck and need to reload. Product feature need to improve.

For mortar, pointing on a horizontal suface, works well, saves time.
Yes, you do have to thin the mortar more when using this gun. You also need to use the drill/screwdriver at a slow speed so the mortar doesn't cavitate and not feed. The product should have this noted plainly so to avoid undesirable results. It should be kept close to level with a slight forward tilt to aid in mortal flow. If you follow these conditions, you should have a good experience using this device. I did.

HUGE timesaver!!
After doing the chimney with a bag then switching to the hopper/auger tool, this is DEFINITELY worth it!! Works perfectly! For anyone needing instructions, tips, or advice ... you need a wet mix, keep it watered, spray water from a bottle into your bucket and your hopper, use a putty-knife tool to mix and keep it mixed. Flows perfectly!! 👍🏼

Good for higher slump mixes
The media could not be loaded. For the price, you can't do better. Used it for pointing some cinder block before being face with stone veneer. Somewhat bulky at first and a drill that is more compact would help. Seems to take about 5lbs of mix and the slump should be on the high side otherwise it'll plug. Used the Sackrete "veneer stone mortar" in the 80# bag. Mixed 10# batches/700ml of water which works out to the recommended mix. The slump is higher than regular mortar mix so it works well. Will be interesting to use it on the stone veneer wall that's finished. I also lightly sprayed a little soap water in initially to get a smooth start.
