Classical spyder moving head with one red, one green, one blue and one withe on each head.
The media could not be loaded. This one arrived just in time for the Karaoke night this weekend, so I spent some time on the DMX console to set it up.Let's first define the assumption, big is only for the brand name, this is a small spider moving head, with 8 3W LEDs, two of each colour Red, green, blue and white. This is not extremely bright, we won't be making a huge show here, but it will be fun for karaoke nights, small bars, small DJ setup.I played a little with the menus, it is pretty common on fixtures I reviewed lately, definitely not user-friendly, but anyway, I connected everything to a DMX console.... which is just a little less unfriendly.DMX options can be 5 or 13 channels. The 5 channels mode allows for individual motor positions, dimmer, strobe and the last channel allows choosing one of the effects. The 13 channels mode add for individual LEDs control on channel 5 to 12. This makes the controls 4 sliders in page A and 4 sliders in page B for each head if you use one of these small 192 channel consoled. If you go with software, I would guess there are existing fixtures, as this spider is simply a rebranding of common models made in China.I went with the individual colour control and set this up on my 192 ch DMX console. I have a setup where my pars lights go in sequence and change colours after each 4 steps, it gradually changes from G, G+B, B, B+R, R R+G. I simply copied the banks and added the matching colours for the spider, with the withe being active for pure R G or B on the par. I set up the head position to change location over 8 steps, since the steps go fast in music mode, the head needs some time to follow up, having the full movement over 8 steps is perfect. I have similar setups for my laser and disco balls, each on a different chase on the console, both light bar get one light at a time, plus one accessory.I'm using small 86 LEDs par light, maximum 5W, and 2 6x3W disco balls. This is not a lot of power, as I keep a maximum of two colours at the same time, and either the laser, balls or spider. The spider blends right in, not too powerful. This is a good setup for a dance floor, mostly covered by the pars. The rest of the room gets light effects from the disco ball, and now the spider. Now I need a second spider...The mounting option doesn't have much adjustability. I have fixed studs on my light bar, and I need to have some extra part to tilt it, or, I will need to use a c clamp.

Sleek design, RGBW 4-in-1 LED, user-friendly, DMX compatible, sound-activated mode.
Last weekend, I decided to upgrade the lighting for my home entertainment setup and stumbled upon the spider moving head stage light. As someone who frequently hosts parties and events, the lighting ambiance has always been a priority for me. Upon receiving this product, my initial thoughts were about its solid build quality and sleek design – it looked every bit the professional-grade equipment I hoped for.The RGBW 4-in-1 LED technology genuinely surpassed my expectations. I spent hours playing with various color combinations, and the intensity of the hues was nothing short of mesmerizing. Whether I wanted a moody blue for a chill evening with friends or an energetic red for dance nights, this device delivered.I was pleasantly surprised at how user-friendly the setup was. Within no time, I was flipping through the control panel, tweaking settings, and adapting the device to my preferences. The DMX compatibility was the cherry on top, allowing me to integrate the light with my existing sound system seamlessly. However, not everything went perfectly. As I was adjusting the unit, one of the lenses broke. For a moment, my heart sank. But when I powered the device up, I realized that while the breakage was unfortunate, it didn't diminish the light's potency or versatility. So, even though I wish the lens had been sturdier, this hiccup wasn’t enough to cloud my overall impression.A feature I especially enjoyed was the sound-activated mode. When I tested it during a small get-together, my guests were fascinated by how the lights danced and pulsed in sync with our playlist. It transformed our living room into an impromptu dance floor. In retrospect, investing in the spider moving head light has been one of my best decisions for home entertainment. While the broken lens was a slight setback, the unit's performance, versatility, and user-friendly nature more than made up for it. For anyone looking to amplify their event's vibe or even elevate a simple gathering, this lighting system is a game-changer.Pros:-- Mesmerizing RGBW LEDs-- DMX compatibility-- Sound-activated modeCons:-- Fragile lens

Smooth, Bright and Highly reactive lighting system!
First impressions-------------------I really like this lighting effect. It’s smooth, quiet and bright! There are several different active modes as well as a sound reactive mode which is sensitive and fast reacting. I just put it on sound active mode. Basically plug N' play setup.I haven’t tested the DMX signalling modes in the studio yet, so we’ll play and see if we can trigger them with midi etc. We should be able to link these to other devices we have so I’ll update once we get it in the studio and connected. But so far as a stand alone unit next to my drums it’s pretty freakin’ cool. I also have a laser show and another LED Circle light so this is an awesome addition. Likely will be mounted on a stand behind me. With the microphone and sound reaction it’s fine just the way it is!Pros----- -The look is great for what it projects -DMX modes -master/slave modes -fast (wide range of motion) -quiet operation -bright *8 LEDSCons------ -could have had a better screen/menu operation on the device -short power cableConclusion-------------I definitely recommend this nice little product. I need to get another one for slave mode. This one was $129 with a $40 coupon which to me is a pretty good deal for stage and production equipment like this. We need to test the longevity of the motors swinging like that but it seems very well made with good materials and what seems to be good craftmanship so if anything fails I will update, but this is an amazing addition to the show!
