Nice shelf, easy to assemble
My husband and I bought two of these shelves. One is larger/wider. We need then for our workshop. I do art glass and I wanted the smaller one to hold my small glass sheets, bottles of frit, and some small tools.I put the small one together by myself this past weekend. It took us awhile to get around to assembling them because of some things that came up (life). All of the hardware was present in the box and it was packed really well. The instructions were good. I'm a technical writer and I shudder at most assembly instructions but it was clear that they put some effort into the ones for these shelves. It's not a complicated assembly but the illustrations and instructions assure you know what to do and a few points to be careful about (e.g., having things in the correct orientation). The shelving itself (pressboard) is not as thick and strong as I'd like but I knew that when I bought them and if we need to swap some stronger boards for a some of these shelves, we don't mind. They will be plenty strong enough for most of what we'll have on the shelves. My main concern is my stained glass sheets. They are heavy. I won't exceed the weight limit per shelf but I think the glass will really test that limit and for that reason I'll use a heavier duty board for those shelves.I also plan to seal the shelves just in case of moisture. It was really nice that the gloves and rubber mallet are included in the box. I did use the mallet and was glad to have it because I didn't have one of my own beforehand (and wouldn't have wanted to use a regular hammer). Many of the pieces fit together with a little muscle power, no mallet needed, but others needed a bit of pounding. My husband showed me to place a small board over the top end when connecting the upper half of the structure to the lower half. At first I had a hard time getting those pieces to fully connect, but using a board between the mallet and the bracket was like magic! Right together!I have the smaller one in place with some of my things on it. I will anchor it to the wall, but I wanted to be sure of placement first. I'll build the larger one soon and we plan to order at least one more of the large one. We wanted to seem them first before getting more.Yes, you can buy sturdier shelves but these are a very good deal, appear to be well made and well thought-out, and I'm sure they will work for us for years to come and we are glad to have them. And you get the bonus of the mallet! We did have a problem with the delivery but that was not the vendor's fault. The carrier delivered both boxes to the wrong address in our rural area. They left then leaning against a fence outside of the person's property (i.e., carrier photo) and someone stole them before we figured it out. We know the people and we know they wouldn't have kept them themselves. The vendor assured me I shouldn't worry and they sent us replacement shelves right away. I did inform the carrier that it was their mistake and I hope that the vendor's claim is honored, that they are not out of pocket on this.We won't hesitate to order from this vendor again, both because of their great customer service and because we are happy with the shelving.

Quick & Easy
The storage shelves are well engineered going to togeater pretty quick & easy. Each package came with exactly enough pieces, although it would have been nice if there was a few extra nuts & bolts. The metal rails and posts had a very nice coat of paint which resulted in a very nice finished product.

No extra nuts/ bolts
The box is really really heavy. It came torn up and I was afraid I was going to be short something, especially the nuts and bolts because the bag had holes in it. You don't get a single extra one so be very careful with them! Everything was there and undamaged. The other reason I gave it less than 5 stars is because the pieces alone felt flimsy but the more shelves you build up the sturdier it gets. I have no doubt it holds all the weight it claims it can hold. The reason I liked that the pieces felt flimsy is because I was able to maneuver it easily which was helpful while putting it together. I saved the shelves for last because they were the heaviest and put them in after it was in place. Overall I like it, I like that the shelving is adjustable and it was easy to put together. For reference my storage unit is 5ft x 5ft and 8ft tall.

Great shelves!
Love these shelves! They look great, well made, easy to break down and plenty of display space. My only issue is that they are a bit heavy. As you can see in my pictures I’m making it work.

Easy to put together
You definitely need a second person at least in the beginning to hold it steady. The pieces feel very flimsy but once you get everything together it is very sturdy. Will definitely purchase a second one once this one fills up

Top notch customer service
I don't leave reviews often, but not only is this a great shelving unit but the customer service was outstanding. When my order initially arrived, one of the shelves arrived with a damaged part preventing me from assembling it. The seller promptly sent a replacement part (with an extra just in case!) no questions asked. I then was almost done assembly and discovered another slightly deformed piece which prevented me from completing the shelf. The seller AGAIN sent a replacement (also with an extra!) again without any questions. I was finally able to fully assemble both shelves and they're exactly what we needed for storage. The particle board for the shelves is thinner than I expected but I'm sure it won't be an issue though.

Definitely not “Heavy Duty”
This item is definitely not heavy duty as stated. It’s a light duty shelving unit made out of flimsy metal. As I was putting the first/bottom shelf, the metal kept wobbling and I was afraid I was going to bend or warp it. I’m assuming this is the reason they suggest two people to assemble it. After I got the first shelf on, it did seem more sturdy. It was easy to assemble and I used the rubber mallet that was included to gently tap the pieces in place. Using a towel helped to protect the metal. After it was together, I did get help to move it because I was afraid of warping it by moving it by myself. This shelving unit is very light and I can tip it over with one finger when it is empty. I would strongly recommend anchoring it to the wall to prevent it from tipping forward. The company does NOT provide an anchoring kit, although they really should. I also would not trust putting 300 lbs on each shelf as they claim it can hold. I don’t think I would put more than 75lbs on the lower shelves and less than that on the uppers. I am keeping the shelving unit as I am using it to store lightweight supplies in my craft room. However, I wouldn’t suggest purchasing this for any heavy duty use as it is still a little bit wobbly after being put together. I gave this item 3 stars as it looks exactly like the pictures, measurements are as advertised (see pictures), and it was easy to assemble.

Works perfect for what I needed
It seems a little flimsy but once together it's fairly solid. I had 1 piece bent in shipping right at the end so was hard to connect but bent it back and worked fine. I don't know that I have it close to max but there's quite a bit of weight on it and seems great still. Overall definitly worth the price
