These were purchased for our grand daughter who is an ice skater and because of the forces on her feet within the boot, she has developed an issue with her heel. Nothing we have tried before has given her relief or enough cushion as these gel pads have. She started wearing these and in the last few months, she's noticed that they protect her heel much better than other gel heel protectors and they stay in place. They are truly targeted to the achilles tendon area but they could also work for the heel as well. She has developed a condition which will eventually result in surgery later on, but for now, these have given her a lot of needed protection and comfort that allows her to continue with her training and ice skating along with working as a waitress at two jobs They fit very well within her skating boots and her work shoes, so it's a win for both types of shoes. Highly recommend for ice skaters who wear the bungas and other gel protectors and those on their feet for hours at a time.

I wear a women's 8.5 E or a men's 7 E. I have a wide foot but a narrow heel which is a problem when hiking and I have sprained my ankle. I bought these to take up space and keep my heel from slipping. I bought another similar brand, ball.otte, but they are too thin and stretchy, I tried 2 sizes. These made by Dr. Frederick are very substantial and I can easily put my socks over them and then put on mid-high Keen hiking boots. They are comfortable. Glad I found them.

I have a severe bone/heel spur on one foot. I am upwards of 300 pounds, and wear a size 9 women's shoe, with very wide feet.I am in so much pain, I can barely use the foot to walk barefoot. It even hurts in shoes.I received these and immediately liked the feel of them. They feel very good, and are pretty thick. They are very stretchy, and I was easily able to get them over my foot, no problem. Did not feel tight to me.I did however, realize that for myself, putting all the pressure on that foot, with just one of these on my heel, was not doing the trick. I could still feel the pain severely when walking barefoot. That might change over time, but initially, it needed more.Since I received 4 total (2 pairs), and I was only having issues with one foot, I just put 2-3 on the one foot, to see if it gave more cushion. That really helped! I am able to walk around the house with them on barefoot, and much less pain. The gel is not super firm, so it does kind of spread out when pressure from your foot is applied, but if you don't mind that, this will give you some immediate relief.I am not always able to wear my shoes, especially chasing after a 4 year old, so these really help out in the house.I am easily and comfortably able to wear 3 on one foot, no problem.Hope this helps, and I would recommend this as a tool to combat some pain. Maybe not a cure for it, but it definitely does help the pain.

I just barely wore these for a week and they’re flat and stretched! Will not buy them again.

Amazingly soft and works really well for my heels but the silicone material causes rashes over time. There’s just not enough ventilation so the sweat gathers and causes irritation. Needs to be frequently washed due to sweat more than anything.Would recommend for people who like to walk around the house barefoot but have heel issues, but be aware of skin irritation due to prolonged use.

Was able to have my mother use them a couple weeks before she passed :(,,,They helped with her back heal pain and protection from further abrasions/sores from lying in bed.I wish I had known about them much sooner.Hospice and all the nurses were very impressed and took screenshots of the box so they could recommend them.I highly recommend these.
