Works better for me than the $300 brace my doctor ordered
I ordered this because the brace that was supposedly made precisely for me for a drop foot hurt my foit so painfully that I couldn't wear it without buying new shoes that would be far too big for the foot that didn't need a brace. My physical therapist suggested I try this and it works perfectly! Plus, it only cost $20.It has to be worn with shoes that have laces, as that's what the strap is wrapped around to hold your foot up. I love the Adidas slip tons but the elastic laces in those sneakers stretch too much to hold the brace. It's much more comfortable than the awkward brace that fits inside your shoe and goes up more than halfway to your knee. This wraps snugly around your ankle and then there's a tab that attaches to your shoelace to hold your foot up. Both the brace and foot tab are fully adjustable. One caution: I'm a very small person and it may not fit as well on a much larger person. I still think it's worth a try for $20 before spending hundreds on a made to order brace.

Finally an easy foot drop brace!
I have had MS for many years and tried other food drop remedies in the past. I gave up on those. A nurse friend of mine asked me if I tried this adjustable foot drop brace available on Amazon for a reasonable price. She explained to me how it worked. I am glad that I decided to order it. No bar down the back of my leg, no metal plate in my shoe...Just a soft pad around my ankle and a clever strap connected to my shoe lace gently helping my foot work better. I highly recommend this brace to anyone who might benefit from it.

I recommend (with a couple of caveats)
I have bilateral foot drop, and for years refused to wear an AFO. Instead, I wore high-top sneakers or boots. I tripped and fell quite a bit, but I was young enough to just get back up and keep going. Age has a way of changing things. I decided to give these a try. They are great. I have only fallen a couple times since, and that was for other reasons, not because these did not work.I noted others commented on the Velcro straps not lasting, so I preemptively ordered extra Velcro for the ankle-to-shoe straps (link and pic below). I cut it to length I needed and put a strap on every pair of laced shoes I wear. It saves a little time when I want to wear a different pair of shoes.I ordered these last fall, so I don't know how comfortable they will be in the heat of summer, but the benefit is worth it. I also can't speak to how long the Velcro strap around the ankle cuff will last, but for the price, I'll just order again.Link for extra Velcro: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B93R3CYW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Good design but poor materials
This is a simple solution to foot drop. But, like others have said, the velcro they used is of VERY poor quality. The velcro suspension strap (from the ankle cuff to the shoelace) de-laminated almost immediately (front and back layers separated); I glued them back together (ShoeGoo works great for such repairs). Then the grip of that velcro gave out within a few months. I constructed a different suspension strap with 1" webbing and those 3-pronged quick-release buckles, although it is possible that simply replacing the poor original with a heavier-duty velcro strap might work for some. Then, the velcro which closes the cuff around the ankle also wore out within a few months; I glued more good velcro to that spot.Like another user, I put a zip tie though the front lace holes to which the suspension strap is attached; some shoelaces may not be strong enough, in the long run, for pulling up a large foot (like mine) or if one's foot actually pulls downward (like mine). Also, remember to tie the shoes tight, otherwise the whole contraption will try to pull your heel out of the shoe.

Easy and effective
Easy to put on, soft and gentle on the skin. Can be worn with any tie style shoe. Priced low enough to have more then one, so you can attach to your shoe and leave it on.

Value
Worked great for about 8 months and then velcro gave out.

Really Works
I love that it is a great alternative to a sturdy plastic afo. I had worn one before I found this one. It just hurt my foot to wear. I love this one and it really improved my gait. It is so comfortable since nothing is inside my sneaker. The only thing that could make it better is I wish it came in a skin color so it would blend in when wearing in the summer with shorts. I also like the fact it only goes around my ankle not the whole way up my calf. I wear hook and loop sneakers and in my opinion, that is the answer to a lot of problems. the hook and loop is a leather strap to tie your sneakers. It's so easy to just slip front strap of this brace over and under and I think it will hold up better and is more sturdy than shoestrings. And once you have done that you can easily slide the loop over the strap when you need to change shoes. I took this to my Chiropractor to get a doctors opinion on if he thought it would work well and he defiantly agrees and told me to keep wearing it because it aliened my hips up. I wear a 1/4 inch lift in my right shoe and wear this on the left. I guess it helps lift my toes. Wich always tripped me up before. I will rereview after wearing it for a few months. If you are like me please give it a try for only $20 it's worth a try! And please make a light skin color. Thank you for making life easier !!!
