Used over a few weeks
Followed instructions, not difficult. Seemed to have worked well. Will keep an eye on area of carpet that now has holes in it, over the next weeks and will reapply as required.

Anything that targets moths is a bonus
I had quite moth problem at one time. since having my carpets rep[laced i treated before the carpets went down and and have used this when i have vacuumed. I particularly make sure that I use it under some of the furniture that is not moved around as much. Its easy to use, sprinkle it on, and vacuum it up. so far so good. It will be in the spring and summer when i hope that my aggressive treatment has paid off.

Seems to take a bit of time to become effective
I have had a severe and established carpet moth infestation in my flat which I've been trying to treat for some long time to no avail. On seeing the marvellous reviews for this product and reading that it was not overly smelly (a big consideration for me as I have asthma.), I decided to try it. What a disappointment it's been, I treated my living room carpet and first the powder wouldn't puff out properly which made the job difficult and then the cap with the hole that was dispensing the powder repeatedly kept dropping out so that I was left with heaps of powder on the carpet which I then had to attempt to spread out using a spatula. Because of this awful dispenser I ended up with not having sufficient to do the entire area because it was being wasted getting dumped in certain areas when the dispenser part fell out. To add insult to injury it has been totally useless on my carpet moths. Yes it disturbs them from the carpet when you puff it around but they just become lively as anything and start fluttering about and going up the walls. Even when I dumped a load of powder on two moths directly as they made their escape from the carpet it did not seem to affect them at all and they remained active until I got them with my disinfectant spray which always works. I have now sent for the carpet moth spray from this company to try but if it is as useless as the powder then I will have to move on to another brand. Hugely disappointing.I have just come back to update this original review because I have given this product another try and left it on the carpets for longer before hoovering it up. It has definitely not killed off the infestation but I believe it is working slowly to bring down the numbers as I have seen less since this latest usage. Perhaps it will need several applications for best results.

No further damage noted since using
Really upset to see moth damage to my living room carpet. This is a large canister of moth killer and I've used it liberally. I've left it without vacuuming for about ten days and then vacuumed and I don't see any further damage.Very easy to use.

Too early to tell if its a long term solution
We are currently suffering from carpet moths, so are trying various options. We had some spray from this particular brand, that is very, very effective, and gives instant satisfaction - you can make the moths fall out of the air, dead, is a single direct spray. However, we need to get to the cause, so wanted to try something longer lasting. We followed the instructions, and hoovered then placed this powder down in the impacted area, behind some furniture. We did a couple of other areas as well, although we don't think those areas had been attacked by the moths. A couple of days later, we hoovered up the powder. There definitely does appear to be no more activity in those areas, though impossible to say for definite if the powder did the trick, or if simply hoovering with all the furniture out the way has worked. Certainly less flying moths as well, though sadly the carpet is already damaged by the larvae.I think the instructions could be a bit clearer, and impossible to say if it really was the powder or just the extra vacuuming with the furniture moved that has made the huge improvement, so 4 stars from me.
