With a cowlick that's worsening on a highly visible point on my head, I needed to start backcombing my hair in that area. This tool is far superior to the simple rattail comb in its ability to make manageable clumps of hair to provide coverage of what otherwise appears to be thinning hair. When it's time to detangle, the clumps comes apart easily and appear little damaged by the experience.

I bought this comb as a replacement for one just like it. I love that I can give my hair a little "poof" of volume when used like a tease comb, and I also use it for trimming my hair. It's sturdy and I recommend it.

It works very well and easily can tease just the roots if desired. I prefer that for a more natural finish but it can also easily tease the whole shaft.

This gets the job done for hair teasing. But it’s not top-quality. I’ve had other combs that felt a lot more sturdy and durable. The teeth feel cheaper and more flexible than others. This will work for basic amateur jobs but go with something else if you’re looking for something quality that will last for a while.
