I love pineapple , eat it all the time. I find a big difference between this canned pineapple and others. It’s much fresher. I love the fact that it’s canned because it doesn’t even taste like a canned food and I can get it anytime. I need it. I just used ia can to make a pineapple upside down cake, and another in a fruit salad. I don’t have to worry about riding pineapple, and I still get the taste that I want.

I’ve been eating pineapple a lot recently, either fresh pineapple I cut up myself (which is time consuming and can be a pain) or I usually grab the pre-made already cut pineapple which can get very EXPENSIVE!! So when I saw these Dole Canned Tropical Gold Pineapple Chunks in 100% Pineapple Juice, I had to give them a shot as it would be a huge savings for me.They are very good and exactly what I remember from canned pineapples but they are very sweet soaking in the pineapple juice. I had to check the can multiple times to make sure there was no added sugar haha. They definitely are a LOT sweeter than the pre-cut fresh pineapple you get at the store, but they are delicious!!I just drain the juice from the cans and put the pineapples in tupper ware and store in the fridge so they aren’t soaking more in the pineapple juice. BUT if you love the sweetness, then you don’t have to drain at all and eat right out of the can!!They do taste very fresh and will last a while! I checked the pricing, and found 1 can of 15.25oz Dole Pineapple chunks at Walmart is 1.97 so 12 cans would be 23.64 and this listing for 12 cans is 24 (at time of review), so you aren’t saving by ordering in bulk but it’s more of a convenience thing!

If you haven't had the Tropical Golden Pineapple you're missing out! They are so sweet. I use pineapple in alot of recipes but my favorite cottage cheese & Tropical Golden Pineapple WITH the juice...scrumptious!

Finding Gold Pineapple in regular stores or even COSTCO or SAM's Club is nearly impossible. There is a significant taste difference between Gold pineapple and the "regular" cans of pineapple provided. IOf you are a pineapple aficionado, this is a solid purchase ... and the can size is more suitable for most pantries too.

I'm sure the fruit inside is fine and meets what ever standards for freshness and quality. I'm not sure why or HOW the cans got so beat up!?!?!? The box they arrived in was fine, so that tells me someone at either Dole or Amazon beat the he'll out of these cans BEFORE they packaged them in the Dole packaging!!!!The oxidization on the rims of the cans is more concerning to me!! Again, why or how did these cans get chosen for shipment!?!?! At the local grocery stores here in Ontario Canada sell these dented cans at a HUGE discount!!If they come like this in the next shipment, I will be sending them back!!!
