Is this compatible with windows 7?

The mouse is compatible with Windows 7, we have been using it on Windows 7 professional and it works fine

Does this need its own dongle or can it be connected directly by Bluetooth?

It doesn't show up as a bluetooth device so it therefore requires the supplied dongle.

Does this work on a Mac?

I have only used this on a Windows computer. It would be surprising if it didn't work on a Mac because the computer sees it as an ordinary USB mouse. Also, there is a Mac driver for it available from http://www.elecom.co.jp.e.gj.hp.transer.com/support/download/peripheral/mouse/assistant/ that allows the extra button to be configured.
