Don't bother with plastic to save a few bucks. This dry wall mud pan will out live me!

The putty knives work very well, the mud pan is sturdy. The "hawk" is absolutely useless, but not really necessary when you plan on using the pan instead. After two skim coats in the living room, the largest taping knife bent at the handle, but I was admittedly applying a lot of pressure on it while working. For the price and depending what you need to get accomplished, this is a fine starter set until you find the need to purchase more professional equipment.

But it is missing the hawk (the plate on a handle that holds mud). Using it heavily and it is holding up great. Highly Recommneded

For the price this is a decent set, better constructed than other competitors. I was impressed with the quality for the price.

Too much heat affected zone at welds shows different color that is not polished on the inside and outside. A different brand actually polishes this area or just welds it better. If you are going to make something, put some more processes in place to make it near perfect.
