Instructions not included.
The item stated instructions are included but they are not. You have to go to a web page and find them. (Not easy)Even when found, the instructions consisted only of 1 page with drawing of the parts. No assembly directions other than to start the need for ‘suitable ‘ glue, and no instructions for gluing the pegs into place. Fortunately I am fairly good with this kind of thing and had no difficulty but some others may not fare so well. The pegs are common dowels used for holding furniture boards together so were of pretty poor quality, only time will tell if they are up to the task.

Dubious at first but forewarned is forearmed
After reading some of the reviews i was in two minds whether to buy this, it was ideal for my workshop, but the reviews were mixed. I used the reviews and prepared myself with some gorrilla wood glue and my hammer! I firstly glued all the sides and top and bottom together, and then, using an old bottle top filled with glue dipped each dowel in glue and placed them in the holes on the sliding shelf. Once all the holes had been filled with glued dowels, i gave each three firm taps with the hammer to help them into the board and left it all overnight to dry. The results are fantastic, i may decorate the box with my company logo or i might keep it as is, either way it will be really useful for keeping my work area tidier 😁 if you’re in two minds about buying this just do it and follow my guide, you won’t regret it 👍🏻

No more fading
I was at a zoom meeting the other week and was told that putting thread spools on wall pegs led to dust (which translated to machine fluff) and fading. All this was true, so I bought the cupboard variety to hide the threads from the sun. I have had to turn the front opening away to the side so the sun doesn’t get to the front spools. It was easy to assemble one and I’m not going to bother to paint it, as recommended, but life’s too short to stuff a mushroom. My only real complaint is that not all the pegs stay firm in their holes. A few rattle around and come away with the spool when taken off to use.

Organise your creativity.
I love, love, love this bobbin holder! It’s been sooo super useful. I do a lot of sewing using lots of different coloured threads and they used to live in my sewing box and enjoy unraveling themselves..much to my annoyance. Finally when I’d spent an hour winding them back up for the umpteenth time I decided it was time to search for a solution. Anyway I came across this and decided to give it a try. It comes flat pack so you need to glue it with some wood glue along the sides and back and I also glued in the dowels. I left it overnight to dry. It feels really sturdy and the shelves slide out easily. It’s just big enough to take all my cotton reels and it holds every size reel I possess..brilliant. It’s made of mdf so you are also able to decorate it however you want. I covered it with felt in my own choice of theme but you can paint it, use decoupage, glue on pretty paper or stencil it or leave it plain. I believe you can also buy a unit into which it fits however I’m happy with it just the way it is. There is no front cover so by using a felt flap I find it keeps my cotton reels clean. This was one of my best and most useful purchases ever plus I enjoyed decorating it. Win win.

Ink pad storage
I bought this box as a solution to not being able to find the inkpad I wanted when they were all in a drawer sliding about every time I opened it. This is a nice, neat storage box for my ink pads & the only problem I really have with it is that you can't see the colour of the inkpads at a glance, you have to take them out to see. I realise the easy remedy for this would be to stamp a bit of paper with the colour & stick it on the front of the relevant slot, but I am just starting out with my ink and I move them about each time I get a new one, (so that all the blues are together, etc). In hindsight I should have got two of these together or a bigger storage box, as this one is nearly full already, & I still have more ink to get! This would be a good solution to those who have the same storage problem I had & want to keep their inkpads easy to reach. I was very disappointed however, with the delivery cost, at almost £6 this alone would make me stop before I bought another one.

Storage for sewing thread
It was made of cheap chip board, my husband painted and glued all the individual sticks and then I was able to use it, otherwise when I put the thread onto the sticks they fell off

Great product, Great price.
This is the second of this product I have bought to store all my sewing machine thread spools in...fits 98 in total.Since I tend to buy at least two of the same colour whenever I need to buy thread you can imagine that it didn't take me long to fill it...hence buying a second! It is very easy to assemble; the only time consuming bit is glueing each of the 98 pegs in their holes, but even that doesn't take long. I used Gorilla Wood Glue in assembling the box and glueing the pegs in...rock solid in less than 24hrs. Once assembled, it can be painted or varnished. Once I've amassed 196 spools of thread I will hopefully have enough...but hey, you never know, I might need to buy another!
