TrangiaFuel Bottles, Red, 0.3 Litre

I got the 300ml version to carry fuel for my lighter, handwarmers and camping stove. The fuel I use is a refined unleaded petrol essentially so it's very dangerous stuff. This is perfect.Once you've filled it up, you screw the red ring down which works as an effective lock (to throw in backpack without too much worry). When it come to use it, once you've unscrewed the stopper, you press on the top for the liquid to come out. Essentially, this works to eliminate absent-mindedness and spillage at each step. It's so well designed thousands of people wrote a review before me.

Glad I bought this, it has a handy pouring valve that can be locked for travel. Be aware that after pouring the fuel and shutting the valve there could be a tiny amount of residual fuel left in the pourer and it may come out but that’s all. The only drawback is that you can’t see how much fuel you have used because the bottle isn’t transparent but if you know how much your Trangia burner takes, you can work out how many fills you get from a full bottle and then keep count as you use it. Probably obvious to most folk but I’m a bit of a dunce..

I have had the 1 litre version for decades, but it is too bulky for boat, motorcycle, or hiking camping. I therefore bought this size to replace it. It is smart, robust, and safe. Turn the knob at the top, depress the button to release any build up of pressure on a hot day. Pours easily and smoothly at an easily controllable rate for filling my Trangia burners. When you have finished pouring, screw the knob back down to lock it. There are always a couple of drops that need shaking away. Alcohol is biodegradable, so just do that away from the burner. Very pleased with my purchase.
