Football Cake Cutter Set (Hexagon and Pentagon) to Cover Spherical Ball Cake 6"

This item is good value however the cutting edges are not as good as other cutters I have used and needed to be trimmed once cut.

I have used these little cutters to decorate my son’s 6 inch football shaped cake and found them very useful. I have also bought a 6 inch Wilton football cake tin to bake a sphere shaped cake. My only criticism/advice is by the time I have iced my cake it must have got bigger and whilst the front of the cake looked neat I had a bit of a puzzle at the back of the ball as the pieces did not align. I ended cutting some random shapes to fill the gaps, which did not look great. Luckily I have been able to cover the mess at the back with a football scarf, so no one has noticed. So please bear in mind these cutters will only work if you have a ball that measures 6 inches exactly!

Just what I needed to make my son’s cake. I used 2 x 6 inch hemisphere tins and one single layer of ganache in the middle and covered in dark chocolate ganache before adding fondant.After cutting the shapes we allowed the fondant to stiffen for about 20 minutes. Obviously different brands will vary. Then with a little vodka we adhered the cut pieces on the cake ball.

Packet turned up with no cutters in it…. Just some instructions - totally useless and I can’t re order in time for my son’s birthday- totally useless. Only given one star as I can’t give zero.

Cutters not bad value but did not fit a 6inch spherical cake. Had to make a smaller cake so the hexagonals would fit. They don't take into account a crumb coat then fondant cover so hence the 6inch cake became larger hence the hexagonal not fitting.
