Is this press made of solid cast iron?

Yes, it’s crafted from heavy-duty cast iron for superior heat retention and durability. It delivers an authentic smash burger experience.

Do I need to season it like a cast iron skillet?

Yes, it’s recommended to season the press occasionally—just like a cast iron pan—to maintain its nonstick surface and protect it from rust.

Can I use it on a regular frying pan?

Definitely! It’s perfect for cast iron skillets, grill pans, or any flat cooking surface. Preheating the press gives the best sear results.

It’s easy to hand wash. Just rinse with warm water, avoid soap, dry thoroughly, and lightly coat with oil before storing.

Is it heavy enough to keep the patty from curling up?

Yes! At around 2 lbs, the press applies just the right amount of pressure to prevent burger patties or bacon strips from curling.
