I bought this rotisserie grill kit and I'm very pleased with the purchase. I've used the kit several times and have had excellent results. The meat is cooked evenly and the skewers are easy to turn.

Solid stainless steel spit is very well made . It adjusts easily as did the supports and worked perfectly . This from someone who roasted a lamb on a tree sapling spit over a wood fire for decades - this is a good unit and very well made .

We purchased this for a back to school pig roast and upon setting it up I realized that it felt very unstable and flimsy (even after staking it into the ground). We put a 45lb pig on it (well below the 90lb limit) and it was going okay for a few hours. But about halfway through the pole came apart causing the pig to fall into the fire pit. We were able to salvage the pig but this product is bad. The pole the pigs stays on is not a sing piece of metal, instead it is two smaller poles held together by a very lose lock. Do not buy!

Used this for the third time in past 2 months. We did two lambs on separate occasions and now these two bourbon red turkeys this past weekend. Everything worked and turned as it should. The biggest lamb was about 65lbs and this motor turned it with no problem. Very easy to assemble and cleans so easy. Highly recommend

The rod that comes with this unit is two pieces. You screw the two pieces together and once tightened you insert the cotter pin to lock them together to prevent the rods from spinning apart while cooking. The seller says this unit is rated to handle a 150lb pig but there is no way you will be able to finish a pig roast at that weight. This is my second one and both have had the same issue where the rod screws together it breaks in half. The first unit I had I was able to do 3 pigs, one 90lb, one 100lb, and on 105lb pig. The rod snapped on the third pig and fortunately it was at the end so the pig was done cooking but I had to rescue it from the fire. I bought a new one last week and the new spit rod after cooking a 109lb pig is already broken. The motor that comes with this unit is good and seems to spin the pig without issue and the way the stands hold the motor is also good, the issue is the spit rod comes in two pieces most like to save on shipping bit this is also why the rod breaks because of the weak spot where the rods screw together. If you purchase this you will have to get a new rod or add a metal collar to the spit rod and weld it over the area where the spit rods screw together to strengthen the weak spot in the middle.
