Useful and versatile
I bought this unit to resolve a ground loop issue which it did perfectly. The unit offers a selection of connectors making it exceptionally versatile - XLR, phono and 1/4inch. It's well-made in an aluminium extrusion housing and the brand is one I have had good results with in the past.

A Really Handy Little Isolation Box
A really handy little isolation box. Use it to isolate for example a computer from a mixing deck, a set up which always seems to result in a ground loop if the computer is mains powered. Another really useful feature is you can go in on phono and out on XLR which saves having to faff about with adapters. Does not seem to affect audible sound quality at all, it probably does a bit but you would need some pretty sensitive test gear to see it.

Its helped, but not perfect
Its definitely helped with removing hum noise that way bleeding out from my gaming PC AE9-PE soundcard and through my audient nero to studio monitors - thus, making this setup useable unlike before. However, it doesnt remove all of the noise as it can still bleed through at high volumes, but it wont be an issue at normal listening levels - so my problem before is solved.I did also experiment with connecting RCA on the input and TRS on the output to the audient nero; this removed the noise completely, although unfortunately the volume levels dropped off quite a bit and there was some sound colouration in this configuration.Overall good device though which will help if your situation is similar to mine.

Degrades sound quality, doesn't eliminate static buzz
Although I didn't buy it from Amazon I wanted to leave a review here for visibility. My setup is a Xonar U7 with RCA to RCA going to M Audio BX5 Carbons, there is a static buzz when I turn up the monitors more than a quarter of the way (I've had to resolve to just using the software volume control, which is meant to give the best quality anyway).I bought this to eliminate the ground loop buzz, it did reduce it a lot, but at the same time it completely degraded the sound quality of the music played through it. I had one speaker hooked up and the other in the normal setup, and used the driver control to play each channel at different volumes, it created a very hollow, tinny sound that was awful.

The audio equipment and gears were suffering from a mishmashof noisy ground loops due to the USB bus power, causing me a nervous breakdown! This guy does the job as expected with no loss of quality audio. It's like a painkiller!Fast delivery.
