UPDATE: This is my second purchase buying the same four rugs from over 2 years ago. The rugs have been outstanding and lasted through daily vacuuming & cleanings thanks to our German Shedder. We’re only replacing due to the dog’s body oils and odors on the carpets. The color and quality was exactly the same as before and only took a few days to settle flat using a heavy box on top & reverse rolling. Last photo is the same dog but second rug. These are Great rugs that are very soft but durable. Very Happy both times with my purchases. See comments below for colors and suggestions.First of all, I agonized for months over these colors and styles. I went back and forth between the California & the Milan Shag but picked this rug style because I was able to get carpet samples. (See Below Photos) I finally ordered the Mushroom Color over the Taupe since it is a collage of several brown hues rather than one solid color. I needed something very durable being in a high traffic area near the garage door that wouldn't show dirt. Plus I had a dog. So far so good. The carpet arrived in a few days and laid flat overnight, had no smell, vacuumed easily with my Dyson, fluffed up nicely, and is perfect for my needs. Very thick and plush at almost 2” tall so it might not go under doors. Mine is at the bottom of the stairs. I would suggest a rug gripper rather than a pad since it is slippery on hardwood floors and may become a trip hazard if any taller. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and price for this rug especially since finding a 4'X4’ is near impossible. Roxie loves it and immediately claimed it as her new bed. I liked this color so much I am ordering four more of these identical rugs in different sizes for the house.Color Samples:Top: Beige: Mostly Cream/Beige. Light colored cream rug with contrasting beige colors. You really notice the beige/tan color in this rug.Top Left: Mushroom: Dark Smokey Brown/Taupe with different lighter/darker hues. Think Tree Bark/Forest. Earthy. Nice dimensional sheen.Middle: Taupe: Taupe/Light Taupe. Almost a solid colored rug. Overall, not much color contrast, very neutral lighter colored rug.Far Right: Brown. Exactly as shown. Chocolate Brown/Brown. Very rich, deep solid color. Little contrast. Think Chocolate Kisses.Bottom Left: Dark Gray: Gorgeous Dark Gray/Light Gray Color. Very Rich & Expensive Looking. Beautiful Blend. Wonderful Color!Bottom Center: Silver. Pale Silver/Light Gray/Black & White strands. Interesting & Odd Contrasting colors. Very Modern.Bottom Right: Navy. More Dark Blue/Light Blue Color. Modern. Perfect for Kids room or Rec Area. Very Colorful.I also put the browns all together for comparison all these difference colors. Last photo is the Beige and Mushroom. Colors are much darker and pronounced than shown due to camera flash especially the contrasting strands. Dark Gray is much darker than shown and was the most beautiful of samples. If this color works in your home décor, I would not hesitate to buy it.

*** Update - January 2019 ***Well this rug has certainly held up over the years, still no loose fibers with vacuuming however I still regret getting ivory. It has progressively gotten darker on exposed areas, despite doing everything but enforcing a “don’t even walk on it” rule - ha!Still in good shape in areas that have been covered by furniture, but inevitable traffic spots have unfortunately flattened down, and I’m not sure if getting it professionally cleaned would restore it. I’ve gone as far as raking it and getting down on my hands and knees to brush it in an attempt to fluff it back up, but no cigar. Great carpet, but I think it will be retired soon due to the upkeep and enevitable wear/tear.*** Original Post ***I LOVE LOVE LOVE this carpet.I got the 8x12' size, it's HUGE and looks like I spent WAY more than I did. It was actually too big for our little apartment, but we moved shortly after and it is amazing. I saw similar quality but way smaller ones in stores for the same price if not more.I can't say I would order the Ivory again though, as it gets noticeably dirty over a short time even with a strict no-shoe-rule and frequent vacuuming. When we moved after 2 months of it arriving, you could clearly see where our L-shaped sectional couch and center ottoman had been because it was significantly whiter than the exposed areas. I do have a carpet steamer & may need to run it on this rug a couple of times a year. You're going to get dirt either way, especially with dogs, but what can ya do. It would honestly be my worst nightmare trying to return this one for a different color at this point, the thing is HUGE and needed two people to get into the house when it was delivered and I feel REALLY bad for the UPS guy who delivered it and I can't even image how much it would be for return shipping.Would highly highly highly recommend for those of you wanting an affordable, large, and not only aesthetically pleasing shag but also comfy. You really do sink into it. Now living in a house that has all wood floors on the first level, this is my most favorite place to be with bare feet and looks beautiful against dark wood floors. Vacuuming is easy, haven't seen any loose strings, doesn't need to be vacuumed to "look" like shag. Several other cheap shags i've gotten over the years flatten down so quickly & need to be vacuumed to appear fluffy. Not this one. It looks fluffy before & after vacuuming.Again, would only recommend the ivory if it's going to get light use, no shoes, no dogs, no kids, etc. I will be ordering another one in the future for another room & I think i'll go with beige next time. Totally worth the money. If you aren't sure about a huge one like the one I ordered, order a smaller one that you might use as a runner or small area rug, and see for yourself. High quality for a low/affordable price.

Nice quality for each side of the bed, as runners. This is the same as we previously bought (6' 7" Safavieh California Premium Shag, for the bathroom).

Heavy and well made, soft on the feet and the color is very nice.

Super beau tapis. 5cm ?? les poils du tapis ne font pas 5cm mais environ 3cm. Je donne 4 étoiles car il n'est pas aussi épais que je l'aurais cru mais reste très confortable pour les pieds :)
