I’m not a fake plant person. But I had a corner that needed greenery and neither my black thumb, nor my cave-like lack of light could sustain a living option. Cue the dust collectors!I waited a few weeks to review this because I wanted to see how quickly dust would gather. I’m pleasantly surprised.I feel like it looks very realistic at a distance and very passable even close up IF the base is hidden. That tiny pot and green flocking “moss” isn’t fooling anyone with eyeballs.It was very easy to put together and manipulate. If you’re deciding between sizes, size up. I almost sent this one back for the lager size once I saw it in place but convinced myself that the shorter height would help sell the realism angle. For reference this is sitting on a 5” tall pot INSIDE the larger outer pot so it’s shorter than it appears in the white potted photo.Very happy with this purchase.

Really nice size, looks good

I prefer artificial plants. I do not like any bugs that are attracted by the real plants. These look just like the picture. Both trees were packaged well in one box. There was a little diagram included with easy instructions on how to place and shape the leaves. The leaves were packed so that it was easy to follow the diagram. Basically, the largest leaves go at the top and smallest at the bottom. It took about 10 minutes to get both trees up and the leaves on and shaped. Perfect for what I needed, which was to add a little decor without attracting bugs.

First, no, it does not look real. Not even remotely. If your'e familiar with a real areca palm, you know the color and frond shape is off. in fact, it doesn't even look as good as it does in the marketing photos in the listing. But, it fills the space I wanted it for adequately and I can live with it. It's not used as a show piece, and though it is set in a focal point, the mid century modern furniture draws the eye away from it. Its fairly easy to shape and re-shape. One should study images of an areca palm to shape it accordingly. The other thing to be aware of is that it topples over easily. The base pot is far too small for the size of the plant. Fortunately, I had a larger indoor pot and some expired cans of food from my hurricane prep kit that I could use to wedge the little pot inside the larger pot and add some weight to the base, which I then covered with clean indoor mulch. Now the height/weight proportion is balanced and the plant stands upright securely. All in all, I'm glad to have it as I don't have to worry about keeping a live plant of that size healthy and alive. I also like that i's light weight enough that it can be moved into another room easily when it's time for the christmas tree to come out and sit in it's place. However, I would've preferred to pay at least $20 less for it. It looks artificial but I'm not overly concerned about that.

It’s a 6ft tree. The planter is 14 inches in height. I elevated it a little with a box but overall it turned out great for the price. Happy with my purchase.

Looks real from a distance and the price was really affordable for a faux plant this size.
