NOT AS DESCRIBED - NOT USABLE AS SHIPPED
I have to give this a negative review. Not simply because it does not meet my needs - it does not - but because the listing SAID IT WOULD. (I hate when reviewers buy the wrong thing, then give the item a negative review for not being what they THOUGHT it would be.)I'm IN LOVE with infrared motion sensors. I started by putting occupancy sensors in my pantry, closets and bathrooms. Now, I want to put motion sensors EVERYWHERE. I've always been absent minded, even in my teens. It's SO convenient to have the lights turn on as I enter a room, and so liberating to know that should I forget to turn the lights off (and I often do, as do guests at our house), they will turn off on their own.PROS:- sleek - VERY thin profile- bright, even light- easy to install using provided clips- available in 4000K, which is hard to find (neutral white, neither blueish nor yellowish)CONS:- does NOT come with a long distance IR sensor (see photo of listing promising both sensors, and of box showing only close sensor inside)- overheats easily - gets VERY warm to the touch after a few minutes, and the light starts blinking after a whileFor most people, these are fatal flaws (IMO). Here's why:1. It overheats, so you can't just leave the light on: you need a sensor2. It only comes with the hand wave sensor, which has cables sticking out both ends, so you have to hide the sensor under the counter3. It's VERY hard to turn on and off - it's hard to wave 1-2 cm away from a sensor you can't see4. A long range sensor is ESSENTIAL for this to work properly as a clean under-counter lighting solutionThis is a potentially 5-star product with a FATAL flaw that makes it 1 star. Honestly, it could work great if you have the sensor in a visible spot, but with wires dangling everywhere. This is NOT acceptable to any but the loneliest of bachelors. Anyone with a woman in their life would NOT do that. It's frustrating to wave your hand where you think the sensor is, then wave again, then again... eventually you just leave the light off and work in the dark; after all, it's just a few seconds and then you're done with the beverage center. I'm no worse off than I was before I bought the lights. Except I have spent $47.99 and gotten an unusable product, so I guess I AM worse off. This was a 1-star review, but the seller does get an extra star for sending me a replacement in about 2-3 days. Sadly, it's the exact same item with the same flaw: close sensor only, so it sits in its box. When I messaged back the second time, NO RESPONSE.

Great Slim Lights
These lights are great and I can fully recommend them, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the hand-wave feature is great and causes both lights to cycle on and off, there is not a way to have each one operate independently (you would have to buy another one). Installation is super easy (I used the clips not the tape). The cord is fairly short so if you need to run it more than 5 feet away, you will need to also purchase an extender for that (see other reviews for recommendations - but not all "universal" extensions will work, make sure you match the power needs of 12V).The light on the 4,000K light is very bright and more towards the blue end of the spectrum. Finally, it's crazy thin! You can see from the photos that under a standard cabinet, it can be completely hidden from view with almost no way to see it unless you duck under the cabinet and look up. (for some reason the final photo is flipped upside down, but you can still tell how thin it is)

... was asked to leave a review if I was happy with my purchase (not if I wasn't)
I was asked to leave a review if I was happy with my purchase (not if I wasn't). The lights are very nice...solid...but the instructions, other than what is printed on the box, are non existent. I get the hand motion to turn the lightson and off....but there is no mention on how to use/activate the IR (longer distance) motion sensor! Do I have topurchase this sensor separately? I also bought through Amazon a 10 foot extension cord that did not work....because the length of the male prong is not long enough. Other than these issues, the light works fine....

Bright light, Weak motion sensor
I bought the 4000k 24 inch light kit. The light is very bright and the light bars are extremely light. They were also easy to to install. The motion sensor that came with it says it can sense up to 10 inches however it is more like 2 inches. The box had indicated that they also offer a sensor that can sense up to 7 feet away (there were 2 check boxes with the different sensor distances). I have the lights installed in a closet and using them with a light switch it takes a good 6 seconds for them to turn on. How can I get the other sensor that Senses up to 7 feet away?

Nice and bright for undercabinet
Excellent lights. I installed these for my mom because she has macular degeneration and being able to wave her hand under the light to turn them on and off is a wonderful technology. We have had one of the lights for several months and the one negative thing that seems to be happening is a small intermittent flicker. It concerns me but my mom does not notice it and thus far it has not caused the light to quit working. They are nice and bright. Love that.

Great if it works
Wonderful lighting for my artistic needs. Love that you peel off the paper and stick it up. Works great. Only thing is, the waving of the hands to get it to go off hasn't worked and I have been so busy I keep forgetting to read the manual to get it working. I just turn it off at the plug which so far has been no big deal, but I have to see if I did something wrong and get back on here to edit my review. Putting it on my to do list right now.

Great light but failed motion sensor
Great light I love the colt temperature. excellent form factor but the motion detector started failing after a few months. I have 2 of those. One will stay on and cannot be shut off short of disconnecting power. I will have to install a switch unless I can find just the motion sensor
