reliable webcam, easy to use, good value for money

I eneded a new web can that would work under Linux, but wouldn't cost a fortune.The C270 plugged straight in to both Ubuntu and Xubuntu and worked straight away with no disk needed. I also loaded it on an XP laptop and loaded the minimum drivers I could get away with, because I am not a fan of all the extra nonsense that comes with these sorts of devices (like alien avitars and the rest)The microphone is still reasonably clear when placed on a monitor which is a comfortable working distance away from my face.The image, despite the lack of Logitech's drivers, self adjusts and delivers what I believe to be a good quality image despite the very low, ambient room light in an evening.When a good light source is used to light the face, there is a notable increase in image quality.Logitech have a good track record in web cams, and this value version didn't dissapoint. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

The product does the job and is great value for money if you aren’t too bothered about quality. My laptops built in camera is of better quality but not great for the office set up. I have noticed the quality isn’t great when you are on one to one calls but it seems fine for when there are multiple people on screen.

I originally bought this camera for my streaming. I wanted something that i could use for a funny mic like Jschlatt that i could switch back and forth from my normal mic to that.It would seem to turn out that given the right room conditions the mic is more clear and crisp than my original of around about 3 years.The box came in complete devastation and was quite disappointing since its a logitech brand camera and an amazon delivery but the quality of the actual product is good enough it helped me overlook it.

Purchased this for work calls to use instead of laptop camera.Much better option now with clearer picture and ability to relocate where picture is sat.

Ideal small 720p webcam that sits on top of VDU.Older logitech model as not HD but at a good price and matches quality of what most business laptops are configured with anyhow.Doesn't have a privacy slide but it's an older model so not expected - these can be bought on amazon or ebay for a few quid anyhow!

I've previously used a webcam I bought a few years ago that is only vga resolution. It was okay but I wanted something a little better. This one installed in seconds with windows and gives a much improved image, very clear night or day especially as it automatically adjusts to give the best picture possible. Highly recommended.
