This gate is amazing!
It is solid construction and very nice looking for inside the house. Assembly was easy. I looked for a lot of dog gates that wouldn’t attached to my walls and that were sturdy. This one fit the bill perfectly!

The 4 panel is sturdy; the 3 panel is just okay.
I bought the 4 panel gate to keep my three pitbulls away from our front window. It does the job well. No complaints. I also bought the 3 panel gate for our front entrance. This gate was pretty wobbly, even with the leg inserts. Not as sturdy as the 4 panel but it’s to be expected. This one also had a small chip in the paint and was quite dusty, but overall it gets the job done.

Good value for the money. Assembly questionable.
No doubt this is a good value for the money. We were not disappointed with the stability, design, easy set-up or storage of the gate. It does come assembled except for the “door” locks. I presume they don’t install them to protect the finish of the gates which is totally understandable.I was not satisfied with the assembly of the gate which was very poorly done. The screws for the hinges were flat head screws but the hinges were not counter sunk. All the screws stuck up in an unsightly manner. Also, the screws are set into plastic anchors which are too large for screws.I countersunk all the hinges and replaced the screws with a larger size.

WONDERFUL, ATTRACTIVE, NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED for 80 inch
I have a high energy, high jumping puppy. This was Perfect for a large indoor opening. The 80 inch does not have a manufactured gate, but that does not matter. It comes FULLY ASSEMBLED. The two small feet to keep it standing up, slide onto two bottom sections. It is very attractive and sturdy. I can easily get into the gated room, by pushing back one end piece. If you have a puppy who chews/eats everything, keep your puppy away while you unpack from the box. There is a tiny bag of "silica gel" and numerous small pieces of foam.

Fabulous gate!!
Perfect for what we needed it for! It is sturdy, looks great and blocks the entire opening to our front porch, allowing us to have the dogs out without being on a lead. We have small dogs but I wouldn’t recommend for large dogs because they could jump over it. PerfeCt for our needs!

So good we bought 2 more
We have a Yorkie, Morkie and a Westie. We bought 2 more of these and now we can corral the house/outside in any configuration. These arrive extraordinarily well packaged. The only assembly required is to screw in the latches. The receiver side is already attached. The gates swing freely without binding. Well made hardwawre and the gate wood feels substantian and not just cheap wood product. Feet fit very well and don't rock. Our only issue with the new two gates is that they seem to have come from different factories and the post/receivers attached (so gates can be combined for greater length) at ends do not mate up correctly so only one can be mated. The other is too high or too low. This is easily solved by reattached one post or receiver so it aligns. 1st world problem that doesn't affect performance. Highest recommendation. Buy with confidence.

Design needs work
First, the unit looks nice, but it has serious design flaws since it's free standing. The support feet which are 3 pieces on each side, need to be put together and there are angles on these pieces that make it almost impossible to line up. It takes two people, one to hold the pieces in place and another to try to line up the screws. That was one thing, the next was the installation of the support feet. They are supposed to be clamped on the unit, but the fence was moving back and forth because as the screws are tightened the support feet raise off the ground. We ended up drilling a hole in the wood, making sure it was firmly on the floor and then using the screw clamp through both the support feet and the main unit, now it's stable. There is no way to make it stable without doing this step, you must drill through it. It would be a simple thing for the manufacturer to put holes where they want the support feet, but at least the owners can do that.

Great freestanding gate
I love this brown Spirich freestanding gate. It goes so well with the furniture in my living room and effectively does its job of preventing my pup from reaching the wires on the floor since he would chew almost anything. The gate is sturdy, handsome looking, and sufficiently tall for my needs. I intend to buy this gate again as I review the other places in my home that needs safeguarding against the mighty chewer!
