Fix my problems when my motherboard ethernet connection is not working
Had a problem with my ethernet connection on my motherboard and this to replace it. Works good and still is until now. My wifi connection is fast and has no problems so far. Good value for money

Easy Install, automatic 10 Gig Link!
INSTALLAt first I was skeptical since this item is currently advertised at $89.99 whereas most 10gig network cards start at $125 and can go much higher. Luckily, the item arrived in brand new condition, and has been a breeze so far! After you put the card in your system (you need to make sure you are using at least a Pci-e x4 or larger slot), you can either use the included drivers, or download the latest Maxwell AQtion ethernet drivers. You may need to go into "Computer Management" on Windows and tell the system that Ethernet Controller in "Other Devices" is this card, but please note this is also part of the quick start guide included with the card.LINUX USERS can rejoice as this card is Plug and Play!USAGECurrently I have been able to confirm that this card can handle a higher than 5 gig throughput on large files (files that are approximately 10 gigabytes in size or larger such as system backups or uncompressed 4K video projects). If your transfers have smaller individual files, expect extremely fast, but not maximum throughput behavior. Depending on your setup, you may want to enable Jumbo Packets.Extra DetailsThe computer that has this card includes a Samsung 960 Pro NVME SSD as well as a couple older SATA SSDs. Obviously the fastest results are possible when transferring to and from NVME. My current switch is the Ubiquiti Unifi Flex XG as i don't currently have a lot of 10 gig devices. I have been able to consistently get better Speed Tests (both ping and throughput) from my 1 gigabit symmetrical internet connection, but this will seem like a minor improvement until faster internet speeds become more widely available. All current tests have been on Cat 6 ethernet cabling (no SFP+ equipment). I may slowly move to Cat 6A, but I don't have long enough runs to have any tangible improvement yet.

Stopped working within 2 days of install
I installed the card in a super high end work station that does gaming occasionally. Initially the card worked good for the first 3-4 times it was used. Then the card stopped detecting that a network cable was being plugged into it. I tired different types of CAT cables (5e, 7, and 8), different PCIe slots, and different ports on the other device. Every possible solution I tried didn't work. I spent upwards of 15 hours trying to diagnose the issue, only to come to: the card went bad in some way.Another issue I have is that the software update disk and USB included with the device are very out dated. I had to go to some odd ball website to get the newest drivers for this device. Unfortunately as well, the drivers aren't in an easy to install package. You'll have to go through Windows' device manager and use that system to manually choose the newly downloaded drivers you want to device to use. I don't feel like this is something an end user should have to deal with, it should be included in the updates section in Windows' Settings menu.Lastly, we can't even return the product because its outside of the return window. So all of that money was essentially put into the garbage. Never ordering products from this company again. I ordered a more expensive higher quality card from a different company.

Works, but had to return.
Installed it with the drivers. Rebooted and it works fine the first day. 2nd day, device was no longer detected. Bios no longer detected anything in that slot. Guessed it died. Getting a replacement shortly, so will update if the new one works.---Update: Updated from 3 stars to 5 stars due to no fault of the hardware. Found out after thorough testing that the PCIE 16x 2nd slot gets disabled if I also installed an NVMe m.2 SSD card (what?!?!). That was where I put my card to ensure the fastest speed I could get. Unfortunately I had no other slots to put it in and need that m2 SSD so i had to give up this 10G PCIE card. While I did test it when I removed my m.2 SSD, it ran sufficient and I was able to get roughly 120mbps-450mbps transferring same, large file on my NAS depending on what was going on in the house.Lastly, great customer service. They reached out initially when I had an issue and offered a refund. I originally declined and had it replaced since I thought it was the card. Great customer service overall!
