When you get these lures, in the box it says to leave an honest review if you want. I’m not really big on leaving reviews, but I felt I needed to let others know how well these work. I’ve always been a fan of the “Joe’s Flies” brand of trout lures and they work well enough, but one thing I notice about them is that the treble hook on them constantly hooks the line when you cast them. That can be very annoying….the Roxstars cast much better and hardly ever have that issue. They have a “dual” hook that is tied on to the end of them vs the treble on the Joe’s brand. Another benefit of the dual hook is that you can remove it without having to cut it off. There are some places that you cannot use anything but a single hook, so this is nice to have that option of removing it and then replacing it if you need to. The dual hook isn’t the strongest thing and I had one of them bend on a pretty big brown trout that I caught. The lures seem to be of very good quality and they are very smooth when retrieving them. Only one thing I didn’t like about them is that the body hackle came unraveled on some of them, and they do warn you that the fish will “slam” them and this can happen. They say that it makes it look like a “tail” and the fish like it more…..not sure if they like it more, but it certainly didn’t seem to affect the performance of them. It won’t fall off or anything, it just makes them a little longer. You can see in the photos the “before” and “after” pictures from when I got them and from when trout fishing stopped. I lost the white one….☹️. The quality of these lures is superior in every way to the Joe’s brand. The detail of the fly on these is fantastic and I caught lots more fish. Where other lures would not work, I put one of these on and they hit it instantly. I was mostly after trout, but smallmouth bass seem to really go for these also. So to sum it all up, get yourself some of these and you’ll get more fish. I have a freezer full of trout to testify to that. The only regret I have, is that I lost one of them. When I lose the others, I will absolutely be getting more of these, they are fantastic! Great job Roxstar!

These worked great for trout in the lakes and river in Colorado!

I received these and fished them heavy in river and lake fishing. They do catch fish as I did catch several trout and a SM bass.The only flaw I see is the two prong trail hook as it is tied on instead of connected with a swivel or any metal. It tends to get hook up on the material of the fly itself which causes for multiple adjustments to fix it to throw again. I do not have that problem with a Joe Fly.With that said, I did catch as many fish with these lures as I did with the Joe fly and feel it performed slightly better than the rooster tails and panther martins.Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend them but only if a Joe Fly isn’t available. 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️I’d be happy to try out more products from this company.

Flies look amazing.Hooks are very sharp.Weight for castable is just right.Will be back for more.

I was very surprised with the quality of these lures. They have some weight, can take a punch, and the craftsmanship is solid. Dropped these in the water, when no one was getting any bites all day. I hooked up on eight largemouth bass in about an hour, while everyone around me failed to even get a bite. I was fishing from shore, and the boats on the water tried migrating to my location.Super impressed with the quality for the price. Absolutely performed amazing against rocks, and the hooks were super sharp, stabbed my fingers multiple times trying to get the hooks loose. I would recommend taking a chance on these lures, no matter where your fishing.

I do not fish often, so when my dad & I went out this weekend I had bought these lures to try. We fished all morning and we only caught fish with these lures! I had originally purchased the GOLD lures, but went back and ordered the 1/4 & 1/8 lures as well to continue fishing later this week. Best purchase I’ve made in awhile!

New type of lure; I was skeptical, but I caught small Brown Trout in a small creek first time I used it. So far so good. Haven't had the chance to use in bigger trout stream river but hope to soon. It appears to be a fly and it has a spin. Natural colors that brown trout like. Value was good. Like added hooks and size. Might have to add weight to get down in bigger streams, but don't know yet.

They're well made and look really nice. My issue is that I don't like the way the hooks are attached. If you catch a fish on it, it makes it more cumbersome to remove. Because of this, I went back to my old brands..

These spinners are well build and have an amazing look, and most importantly work absolutely fantastic.

Love the idea of these “hybrids”. Yet to try them but build quality appears decent. Nice to have double hooks as optional. Looking forward to giving them a go. Ta

I went fishing with these for the first time the other day. Conditions were cold and windy. I was with 2 other persons. One was fly fishing, the other had a williams with a worm. For Every fish they caught, I caught like 5. It worked really really well for me. If you want to catch and release, I suggest to remove the hook with 2 barbs, because sometimes they are hooked real good. But wow they work FINE. Buy them but don't tell your friends until they ask what kind of lure you got
