Three years later - still happy with product!
This alarm clock has been just the thing for someone averse to being woken by a phone alarm. I've had it now for three years and it has been great for travelling - light, easy to use, robust, reliable. No annoying sleep-disrupting lights - just discreetly glow in the dark numbers and hands. For me the alarm is loud enough. The switch at the back to turn it off and and on is quite small. You can't just hit the top to stop the alarm - but then, that makes sure you get up!

great little clock for the price
the tick can sound loud but not on every tick which is a bit weird. The clock keeps great time and the alarm is loud enough and reminds me of childhood alarms. Its basic so you get what you pay for the switch is very small on the back of the clock to turn on and off the alarm. but it means you cannot just push a button and go back to sleep. all in all for the price its a good little clock.

Good
Nice looking clock, easy to fit the battery, silent tick..one problem it doesnt have a light and the 'luminous' features do not appear to be luminous at all.

Fine.
According to the listing underneath Technical Details - no battery is required - but one is required; and that has to besupplied by the purcasher. The case is more robust than I imagined it was going to be; that fact will, fingers crossed, mean that the clock will survive a reasonableamount of travel abuse. The clock is held in position, when it is open, by the same plastic tag that allows the case to be locked in position when it is closed. Pushing on a serrated indent frees the tag in order to open the case. The back of the clock needs to be removed to insert the required AA size battery. It is easier to set the alarm and time when the back is off as a proper puchase can be obtained on the rotating controls - something which is harder to do when the back is on the clock.I could not hear any ticking of the clock. I find this clock to be visually appealing and somewhat 'luminous' as regards to viewing in the dark. The alarm is fairly strident; and should, I feel, wake up most people. There is no alarm 'cancel' button as such, but one can switch off the alarm via a slide switch, which is located on the back of the clock.
