Prym Consu Elastic Sewing Thread 0.5 mm black, Polyester

I knitted a hat for my partner and it ended up being far too loose, instead of undoing my work and spending all the time re-knitting it I added some rows of elastic to the ribbing, it was no visible and meant the hat fit alot better.

I bought this for my scale modelling hobby. I needed a thread similar to EZline but cheaper and this Prym alternative is perfect for to simulate thick rope at 1/72 and thinner rope at 1/48 and lower scales.

I don’t do a lot of sewing just buttons and basic stuff but I ordered a pack of 3 stretchy bras which I loved apart from the fact that the elastic at the bottom was virtually useless.So I had a decision to make did I return the bras or replace the elastic. I decided I liked the style of the bras so I looked around for elastic.The elastic arrived and I started sewing but it became obvious that it wasn’t working and I needed something stretchy.As I said I don’t do a lot of sewing otherwise I’d have realised elastic thread was a thing.Anyway after calling myself an idiot several times I ordered this and it’s worked brilliantly.I had to use my largest needle in order to get the thread through but it wasn’t a problem. The bras are now stretchy, comfortable and offer much better support.I’ve also used this and a thicker elastic to redo some waistbands.

The elastic is great quality and the bobbin has a anti unwind trap which is such a nice touch so many don't
